Re: New Penn State HC Greg Schiano
Not going to be a fun situation for the new HC at Penn State. First he'll have to try to hold the recruiting class together, there will be some defectors there. Second, he'll have to replace their best offensive threat in WR Allen Robinson who declared early for the draft today, and 3rd he'll have ...

Re: New Penn State HC Greg Schiano
Found it... “You can print this: You can print that I don’t really give a —- what the ‘Paterno people’ think about what I do with this program,” he said. “I’ve done everything I can to show respect to Coach Paterno. Everything in my power. So I could really care less about what the Paterno faction ...

Re: New Penn State HC Greg Schiano
I'd put very high on the list, and possibly #1, the reason to leave being that Houston is far better than a 3 win team (they vastly underachieved this year). They have the top pick in the draft, they need a QB, they will draft Teddy Bridgewater, and with that defense and a credible QB they should b...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Fordham has the two most athletic FCS recievers i've seen all year. Tebucky Jones Jr, and Brian Wetzel are very good, and can take it to the house on any play. Koonce is a very good back. Fordham is darn near impossible to stop on offense when Neibrich is playing. They will beat Sacred Heart easily,...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Do you hate the NCAA tournament... With 24 teams... yes. But hate is a strong word because it's still a hell of a lot better than what I-A has, but the field at 16 was good. This is not. Sorry, I meant the NCAA basketball tournament. You could have a reasonable NCAA men's basketbal championship tou...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
That is not the point. In fact our OOC schedule was decent. 9-1 Harvard, 8-2 Princeton, W&M and another playoff team in Sacred Heart who went 10-2. The point is, which you chose to ignore, is that Lafayette is a much different team now. We have a freshman QB who is completing 80% of his passes....

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
If you win your conference you get in the playoffs. That is the way it is for every sport in every division of the NCAA where the NCAA sponsors a tournament. Quit crying like a bitch. You sound like Clenz. That would imply I'm upset that LC got in and UD didn't. NEITHER belong. As a I-AA fan of 40 ...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Maybe if we had an OOC schedule filled with team like Wagner, Jacksonville and Delaware State we would've done a little better. Why do you need the easy OOC schedule when you alrady have the easy in conference schedule you went 5-1 against ? And like 89 said, no UD fan is saying we belong - we don'...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Maybe if we had an OOC schedule filled with team like Wagner, Jacksonville and Delaware State we would've done a little better. I wouldn't count on it, and I'm not sure what UD has to do with this, they are not in the playoffs. Don't belong there. LC doesn't either. If you win your conference you g...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
I'm sure you're nervous. I don't blame you. With the PL offering scholarships it will be that much harder for UD to recruit the players they need to contend. Nonsense, you guys have already said that the academic constraints will still prevent you guys from competing with everyone else. The AGS boa...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
You need more teams in the conference, then. Playing a conference schedule of just 6 games leave the likliehood like a 5-6 team making the playoffs more possible. The Southland was like that for awhile, too. Too few conference games leads to outliers like this. So you're saying they needed more Pat...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Why don't you guys join? Maybe you can win a conference title every now and then. But then lose 40-0 sometime later in the playoffs? Nah, it's good to know we could win the whole thing when we get there rather than just getting the participation medal. Do you guys put those medals in the trophy cas...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Lafayette beat 2 ranked teams in a row to end the season. This is a different team with our Freshman QB at the controls. By the way Lafayette won the PL with or without Fordham. Lafayette beat Fordham, and both teams finished 5-1 in the PL. Per the tie breaker Lafayette would still get the autobid ...

Re: Embarrassing attendance
Maybe I should start pulling FCS embarrassing attendance pictures.... Those pictures have no context- in most of them the teams aren't even on the field. Just about any stadium is pretty empty 15 minutes before kickoff. BTY there were 95k for the PSU-Illinois game. Yes I understand people buy seaso...

Re: Lafayette 5-6 IN playoffs
Patriot should lose their auto and not be allowed to have Fordham get an at large. This is bullshit. If Lehigh were to get an at-large, I may stop watching I-AA football. Lafayette lost to Sacred Heart, Penn, Princeton, Harvard, Colgate and got trounced by W&M. They do NOT belong in the playoff...

Re: 30 for 30 - 1983 NFL Draft
I haven't seen this yet, it is saved on my DVR and just haven't had the chance. I don't know how much this was mentioned, but there were many rumors that Marino was a heavy drug user and that scared away many teams. The fact that the Steelers passed him by seemed to validate many concerns at the tim...

He played in 6 games this past year, so probaly wouldn't be in the NBA next year regardless of his sexual orientation. Can't wait for when he doesn't get signed next year. Everyone will say it is because he is gay, and ignore the fact that he is old and no longer any good at basketball. Actually, y...

Re: NFL Draft
Eagles trade up and draft Matt Barkley wit the first pick of the 4th round. Getting Barkley here may be a bargain, but it is also a surprise (at least to me) since Barkley doesn't seem to have the skill set to run a Chip Kelly offense. I think it is a common misperception, perpetuated by the stupid...

The guy had heart disease and diabetes. II'd suggest that his physical problems had more to do with that then racism. You ignored my question. :suspicious: You "recognize" a disproportionate number of black people. If you can't identify your own actions, and the latent racism behind it, you might want to check yourself into a 12-step clinic. Recognizing black ppl from the past and their accomplishm...

I sure hope so, but not sure Brown will ever have that kind of power.Seahawks08 wrote:I'm very interested in seeing how Brown plays out this year. If he becomes the monster he was always projected to be, then he could possibly replace Howard in the 4th spot.

Yeah... they'll be going to Kentucky. Minnesota has no chance Good luck in continued irrelevance Gophers. Tubby actually got you to the tourney despite a stacked B10 :coffee: Clem Haskins, although cheated and got caught, got the Gophers to the Final Four. Before that they got the in-state recruits...
