Re: Chuck South vs Wofford thoughts
This is our best chance since 2005 to best Wofford. They will have some big plays as usual. Our offense just has to be better and protect the ball. Expect both teams to post 30+ points is a close game. Go Bucs!!!

Re: VMI Scrimmage; Aug. 19th
So this so called Pro style offense is working out Okay? New offensive schemes often have a lot of wrinkles and take time to gel. Good luck to VMI except when you play CSU.

Re: TSN's Big South Prediction
TSN's predictions look about right to me, but I also expects some surprise wins for the underdogs. Who will play the spoiler??? One guage I will use is the CSU game against Wofford. Those guys generally put a whooping on us, but my crystal ball predicts a different senerio this year. I think that we...

Re: Any Charleston Southern guys here?
yea, there are a few CSU fans out here. I was in the stands during that 05 win over Coastal. Never seen a better game. I am always optimistic about the teams chances every year and this year looks really good. a large number of seniors with excellent skills and leadership abilities will have a stron...

Re: The Liberty Low-Down
hey, original poster and fans of the Big South, this thread has produced some good stuff-you just have to ignore some of the smash mouth from one or two. Freedom of speech! I'm for that and good old college football. Based on my limited experence, I put Libery at the top right now. The school is imp...

Re: Big South RBs
As a fan of Charleston Southern and the Big South, i appreciate the posts. Keep it up. What about an eval of receivers, offensive and defense lines, kickers, etc. Of course its all speculation right now, but we need something to talk and think about until kick off. It's still a long wait.

Did I miss something in all this banter??? The Liberty Guy's seat on the Committee should be a benefit to Liberty and all of the BIG South. We have a voice at the table. Go BUCS!!!

Re: Chuck South vs Garner Webb
I appreciate your post bucdad, and agree that the offense is better balanced and may be as good as our 2005 team led by Colin Drafts. this game will be close, but think we can win it. other boards have us losing by 10 or more, but they seldom give us credit.

Re: CONFERENCE OUTLOOK: BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE
7. ...but we will still beat Charleston Southern .[/quote] happy to see a Presby supporter and another Big South fan posting here. your record over CSU is impressive. over the many years that CSU and Presby have played, Presby, by far, has recored more wins, but from 2005- 2008 the tables have turne...

Re: CONFERENCE OUTLOOK: BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE
utgrizfan, i believe that you are correct on one, two and three but the others are just too close to call. CCU has a good coach and he is due for a better year. Coach Sparky at VMI is in his second year and will have a positive impact. each school claimes a good stock of new recruits. Prespy beat Li...

thanks for the welcome dbackjon and thanks for posting the FCS School of the day. CSU recently upgraded the schedule by dropping DII Mars hill and adding FBS Univ. of South Fla. Bulls who went 8-5 with a bowl win last year. tough addition. Go Bucs!!!

Re: GOD I CANT WAIT FOR FOOTBALL SEASON
i understand the feelings of the original poster of this thread. i am a fan. he and i and the rest of us will wait because we must, but the wait will make it that much more enjoyable. i always wonder how the new recruits will fit in, how much the older guys have improved and will we win more games t...

Re: Any FBS schools scheduled for 2009?
Charleston Southern U. opens our season at FLORIDA,, yes,, yes, the Bowl series national champs. I have heard that FLORIDA has a decent QB and a not too shabby defense, and remember they have home field advantage. I think CSU might fly under their radar. We have a good bunch of Florida boys on our t...

Re: FCS School of the Day #17 - Charleston Southern
CSU has won 28 football games over the past four seasons which ties us with one other school in the Big South Conference for the most wins over that time frame and we played 3 Bowl Championship teams over that span. We were conference champs in 2005. We open against Tebow's big bad Florida in 2009. ...
