Re: FCS Sightings
I saw an older woman wearing a Montana State hoodie at a local grocery store. I mentioned to her that I don't see many Bobcat gear in this area. She replied that her daughter gave it to her and pointed to a younger woman pushing their shopping cart. The younger woman turned and saw my Griz hat and s...

Re: Sac State on SportsCenter
Nice. Congrats to Sac State on the win. I'm surrounded by OSU fans at work and most thought you your team was going to be a cake walk. None of then seem to be too talkative today . hmm I wonder why? I was at the Montana - OSU game back in 1996. The Beaver fans were A**holes to us just walking to the...

Re: UND Nickname Change
UND's new name should be something to spit in the face of the NCAA. Perhaps a fake Indian name such as the UND Running Bears or UND Scalpers - the logo could be a hand holding a bloody scalp. I'm sure this would upset the NCAA sensibilities.

Re: FCS Sightings
Spotted a u-haul style truck pulling a car with Montana State license's plates on I-5 south of Portland. I've seen more MSU items in the past couple of weeks than I've seen here in the past 18 years.

Spotted 2 Montana State decal marked cars and a Montana one (not counting mine) in a parking garage in downtown Portland today. Also saw an Idaho State license plate bracket on a minivan near Salem, OR last week.

I SALUTE UND for standing up to the racist, economic terrorists! The GREAT and SOVEREIGN State of South Carolina stands with you, as we are also under an ncaa sanction and are prepared to fight with you! If it's ok with you we already got uniforms and everything! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oNrGEbZjt...

Re: Griz in Free Fall? What's the Cause?
I went with the new system option thinking that it is the root cause and a few of the other options are symptoms. Actually the games have been close but there is "something" lacking in The Griz at this point of the season in my observation. I'm not sure just what that "something"...

There's a couple of Portland State Fans. I've converted two Oregon fans into Griz fans. So that makes 3 Montana fans.

Re: Everything's bigger in Texas
I will preface this by saying that you will find NO bigger sports fan (especially football) than me. However, being an educator in Texas, this makes me sick. The economy is forcing districts (including the one in which I am fortunate enough to work) to PINK SLIP good teachers (i.e. get rid of them)...

I live between Eugene & Portland and I run across Griz gear every once in awhile - the Shopko in Salem is one place that seems to get the most Griz stuff.

Re: DO YOU SECRETLY LIKE AN FCS TEAM OTHER THAN YOU OWN?
My vote goes to New Hampshire - spent a couple of years living there and it became my #2 state after Montana.
I pulled for Montana State too unless their win will have a negative impact on Montana.

Re: Sam Houston vs. Oklahoma State Game Thread
This is a tough call. I'm a big FCS fan and always root for the FCS to beat a FBS. But in this case the Mrs. is an Oklahoma State grad and I don't want to spend the next week sleeping on the couch with the pets. Pleading extenuating circumstances I'm gonna have to go with the Cowboys despite their s...

Re: Rate the media coverage of your football team
Living in the Portland, Oregon media market I'm exposed to the PSU media coverage. Until Granville arrived this year the major paper would do a minor obligatory story on the Vikings. Typically these were run after the much larger UO & OSU articles. There is always an article every other year wh...

Montana - Big Sky. Although I have a soft spot for New Hampshire (not the CAA) because I lived there for a couple of years.
