Re: Mickey's Monkeys no more
Say, when are the Mighty Monarch Midgets of ODU going back to finish the last 5 minutes of regulation play against UNC? Or has your coach petitioned the NCAA to permanently include the mercy rule for not-ready for prime-time FBS wannabes? Tell you what, ShortStick, why don't we combine that petitio...

Re: (7) Towson Tigers vs (1) NDSU Bison Frisco TX
NDSU can't score if they don't have the ball.
TU has an excellent OL, and West. If TU's OL controls the line of scrimmage and the clock, and there are no TOs, NDSU may be in for a long and disappointing afternoon.

Re: Mickey's Monkeys no more
JMU's streamers never seemed to be an issue when facing ODU - for some reason JMU did not need them much. Say, when are the Mighty Monarch Midgets of ODU going back to finish the last 5 minutes of regulation play against UNC? Or has your coach petitioned the NCAA to permanently include the mercy ru...

What the hell are you people waiting for...hire a new coach already!!!! Jesus, UD showed that national searches for high profile FCS head coaching jobs shouldn't take that long to fill. Check your AD's recent visitor's list...have any football friends been stopping by before Mickey's announcement (...

Re: Walter Payton Finalists announced
That guy from South Dakota State not being on the list is a travesty unless there's some rule about it having to be a senior. I've seen the Towson back play and at least based on just seeing each play one game I'd rather have the guy from South Dakota State on my team. Now the game I watched was a ...

Re: Walter Payton Finalists announced
Although I haven't heard his name much, West's numbers are a little bit on the ridiculous side. IMO there's been a bias these last few years towards QBs in the nomination process and media coverage. The votes are already in, which is too bad, because anyone who watched West and TU destroy EIU last ...

Based on picks I've seen, a lot of people seem to think Eastern Illinois a paper tiger. They're not. Oh really? Want to back up and try making a prediction again? Towson showed who is the real "tiger" last night, and in the process put to rest the myth that EIL and OVC football is ...

Re: STONY BROOK ATHLETICS
I'm not so sure they're CAA-ready, but given all the shifting around, the CAA could well take them anyway, figuring that they could continue their improvement there and "grow into it," so to speak. And they'd probably dominate the CAA in baseball. I think SBU would be a terrific addition ...

It seems like a good article. I wouldn't be surprised to see if the NCAA or local police as part of their investigation follow internet activity of suspects - email, sites visited, comments on Facebook, Twitter or in this case e-Griz.... The tone of the whole thing reminds me of the initial Penn St...

Typical GF response. He transferred because he wanted to be closer to home because of family issues, not issues related to confidence. He still has 4 years of eligibility, and his talents and smarts took him to Vandy in the SEC, which he chose from among a host of major BCS offers. Whether he lands ...

Re: Which conf has the best AVG attendance?
JMU's increase along with replacing URI with GaSt should move the CAA higher. For the 2011, the CAA's avg. attendance was at 11,757 which is an increase of 552. I'm not gonna calculate every conference for 2011, but of the top 4 conferences, it was: 1. Southern: 12,172 2. Colonial: 11,757 3. MVFC: ...

NDSU's offense is much better than JMU's That's not what the stats reveal. NDSU's scoring average is higher, but other stats favor JMU. JMU is a much better running team, and JMU averages more ypg than NDSU. Stats also reveal JMU's D is substantially tougher. Methinks NDSU will have to work harder ...

FCSU, you mind showing us your game by game picks? I'm honestly not seeing your JMU analysis. I don't think they will win the conference or even their division, but I also don't see them tanking like you say. I think they'll be the third, probably fourth, CAA team in the tourney. They ended the sea...

Mr. Hunter was cleared by the NCAA and practiced with the team today, JMU's first day of practice. He wore #16, but was working with the WRs.
