Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
This is the Monday guy according to my source. He is a GWU alum with tons of experience in D-1 and pro. He's recruited the SE extensively. http://ucfathletics.cstv.com/sports/m-f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... les00.html Source has misfired on this one big guy. Monday'...

Re: New Gardner-Webb Head Coach
GW is interviewing 6 guys this week that have those credentials. I believe they are all aware of the salary expectations for our job. True. There aren't/won't be any "retread" types in the mix. The weather has not postponed anything, as an interview today has gone on despite the snow and ...

Anybody else hear the list has narrowed to a group of finalists? Good news if true.

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
The schedule as I was told before Thanksgiving for 2011 included Brevard, Ohio, Wake Forest and Samford out of conference. Brevard obviously at home. The rest are road dates, but I'm not sure where they fall time wise. I guess one more home game and that slate is set. I know RIchmond comes onto the ...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
Agree elcid and 1994, I would expect the back channels to light up considerably next week once folks begin to arrive back on campus. It's going to be quiet on the "official" front, as that is how they would prefer it to be. Of course, once interviews begin on campus, those candidates will ...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
ElCid, I know those guys pretty well and have for a while. From what I understand there is a complete gag order at this point, so they're not talking and I'm not asking. If this is anything like basketball, the only news that will leak out during the interviews will come from people who might see so...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
No names yet specifically, but I did hear some good news in the past few days. No interviews yet, and not likely until after the new year rolls around. None were scheduled in the past couple weeks, so wherever that scoop came from was false. The good news centers on hearing that the folks at Gardner...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
Eagle, From what I understand, the current assistants are recruiting full speed. From my personal experience with the people in charge of athletics at Gardner-Webb, I would think all of the offers extended and commitments made would be honored. This is a key hire. Trust this: You as fans/parents hav...

Re: Patton out at Gard-Webb?
All I am hearing from my guy on campus is that the search is in great hands. They hit a home run with their basketball hire and will be going with a similar process. It might take longer than is usual, but they'll get the right person in place. PM me if any of you guys have heard names. I'm curious....
