Re: NY AG Sues to Dissolve NRA, Citing Fraud and Illegality

Meh. Passed the harder New York exam -- and back when I took it, New York tested on 36 different subject areas. Delaware tests on 12, right? That's cute. And as long as you write that the internal affairs doctrine is constitutionally required, you pass, correct? Which of the Delaware profess...

No, we've pretty much settled on Delaware, because your bagels and pizza don't suck as bad as further down South. You do get the YES Network, right? It's practically a national network by now and you can get it everywhere, except in the sorriest places like Dogpatch and Boston. We were down in Dela...

I'm confused; are some implying we ignore/delay going after corruption (or whatever crime) because it's an election year?

:?
Perhaps you might see a difference between suing to remove leadership for bad acts; and using that as a pretext to try to dissolve the whole organization?

Re: NY AG Sues to Dissolve NRA, Citing Fraud and Illegality

Is this a smart thing to do in an Election Year? Middle America already thinks New York wants to run the country. I can see this as part of the messaging to keep the Senate red. As I understand, it isn't all that difficult for a 501(c)(3) to change states of registration anyway. https://www.npr.org...

Re: 2020 General Election

I like when a justice "goes rogue" because that means the institution of the Supreme Court is working. Take nine intelligent, reasonable people; place them in a collegial environment in which they discuss the great issues of the day and try to come to some resolution; and you would hope that, over ...

If you don't think a Republican President wouldn't pack the courts then you have lost all objectivity. Name ONE Republican politician who advocates expanding the SCOTUS and packing it with Republicans. That’s what court-packing means. You can’t. Republicans nominate Republicans, and Democrats nomin...

They definitely found a way to pack the court with their boys when they didn't give Garland - a moderate judge - a hearing.
That's not court packing.

See Ivy's response.

Although Trump has been needlessly divisive and thoughtlessly provocative, and I want to see him lose, the thought of the Democrat party getting a blank check is scarier to me than a second Trump term. I'm going to urge everyone to vote Republican for the Senate. Then nothing will get done, and tha...

Something troubling/interesting is happening. And it's similar to what happened prior to the 2016 election. In June, the most watched TV show in prime time was "Tucker Carlson Tonight." Note, not just most watched cable news show; or most watched cable show. Most watched. Period. Including network T...

It turns out she's being treated for cancer again. The way our national luck has been going, she doesn't make it to Election Day. I don't know. Maybe Putin's sticking pins in Uncle Sam voodoo doll. As a nation, we just can't seem to buy a break any more. The last thing we need now is to have a major...

I agree with everything you posted. Would be curious to hear your take on Alexander Acosta. They had something on him -- or someone he cared about, or someone that he needed to protect. It may well be that he had something on Acosta, and the judge too. That judge seemed pretty willing to handle the...
