Re: Rate the media coverage of your football team
How good a job does the local media do in covering your football team? I'm specifically talking about newspaper or online coverage with in-depth articles. I know Southern Illinios has good local coverage, as does Montana. Delaware has excellent coverage with several in-depth articles each week incl...

Re: Welcome to FCS, What's Ya Conference?
I received my bachelors from Montana State, yet my favorite conference is actually the Southern because so many of my "big babies" went to SoCon schools--especially GSU, Furman and Ape State. So...I'm a fan of the conferences that have given my kids an opportunity to either screw up or mak...

Re: Ideal FCS conference for your school?
When you look at conferences, you really need to look at shifting demographics within the U.S. West Point has three national championships, Fordham was once a college powerhouse, and conversely, most of us can remember when Miami (the one in Florida) considered three wins a good year and the Montana...

Re: TOP 25 BROADCASTERS POLL
Some may say that the CAA is an overrated conference but they have won 2 of the past 4 NCAA titles, App. St. won the other two. So until other conferences step up and win a championship things won't be changing. The CAA will have many teams ranked and App. St. will be #1 until people knock them off...

When did the term "Appy" get so much run? It is offensive to some, as Mikey is to Mike. Why not just stop with "App" or say ASU? We wanna piss you off!    :P Christ, ya'll won two in a row and you're in here whining and sniveling like...west ...

Re: "App" is it that hard
Although I left Georgia a half dozen years ago to return to Montana, I still think of Ape State as--Ape State
Probably because all my friends were either Furman or Georgia Southern graduates and one of my kids was in Statesboro for five years
Damn, don't be so sensitive and FTG

Where's Sac State's aluminum pile track, er I mean football facility? The way they fill up every Saturday should give them a shot. :o ;) Who's track is used for Olympic Trials every four years and NCAA championships quite often? Certainly not the one at the Manure Pile, Huckleberry. BTW, I never ma...

Re: 2007 Gateway Conference Television Schedule
That's a great opportunity for you conference. With the pending addition to the two great Dakota programs and the potential for adding the other two as they move up, have you heard any rumors of your conference moving up to the BSC level in the forseeable future? You're one of the few conferences a...

Re: Predict the SoCon
I actually have a feeling that Wofford, App, and Furman will end up in a three-way. All will end up in the playoffs. Don't know tie-breaking rules, so I'll just put them all as 1. 1. App State 1. Furman 1. Wofford 4. Cid 5. Chatty 6. GSU 7. Elon 8. WCU GSU is going through another transition year I...

Re: FCS Stadium Competition
Are you intending this to be regularly playoff-eligible schools only? I find it hard to believe that these stadia, with the POSSIBLE exception of WA-Griz (not even sure about that) can beat the upper Ivies. They can't. Nor can they really compare their stadiums to those HBC schools when they're ful...

Re: What Big Sky schools make the post season?
I think parity has arrived; too many changes in Bozeman and Portland for me to venture a prediction and the Missoula fans had better hope there's no stumble with that strength of schedule out of conference you have this year. With McBride in his third year and the style of ball he plays, I'm certain...

The name of the thread: "First Controversial FCS Topic" implies the author of the thread knew this would illicit more than a few passionate responses. For the record, has the conference powerhouse won a single playoff game other than their two national championships outside of Missoula? Ag...

Re: First CONTROVERSIAL FCS Topic....
Without considering what Eastern Kentucky was to the old 1-AA classification's selection committees, one would be remiss to not take note of the similarities. Both schools have the same number of playoff appearances, title appearances and wins in the title game. Care to bet whether or not the copper...
