All the football facilities in the SoCon are okay, just a big difference in the capasities between schools like App, GaSo and UTC (20K+) and Wofford and Samford (much smaller more like 10-12K). Others are in between but there are none that a recruter would be ashamed to show a potential target.

App didn't do Howard any favors by beating the Eagles. GaSo will also go for it now on 4th down in the red zone as they have a better chance at a first down or TD than a field goal.

1. Georgia Southern - Enough said. 2. Wofford - Looked slow but effective against App. Underated defense. 3. App - Dangerous but too inexperienced on the o and d lines at this point. Glad to see I was the only one to pick GaSt to win this big game. Now my next prediction is that they will not win another game this year and will also go winless next season based on their schedule.

I think not playing in an empty 70K seat domed stadium will help GaSt win this one. I understand that Rhode Island will be dropping a Ram Pickup on some lucky fan at half time.

They may be the real deal this season. I thought NDSU was the best FCS football team I saw last year and it doesn't appear they lost too much so that is my pick. Wanted to do a homer vote for App but they are probably a year away. The way FCS works you've gotta beat at least 2 really good playoff teams to win a NC so anything can happen....

Because of a lot of youth and inexperience as well as the new (improved) coaching staff I predict a 9-2 or 8-3 season, but do expect this team to jell later in the year and potentially be a factor in the playoffs unlike the disasters of the last 2 seasons.

You can debate Charleston as a "college town" but it is one of the coolest places to visit in the US.

Can't hurt. If they can make a little more noise at the Series then they will really get some good press. Hope they win it all.

I love Apps recruiting class and the way it addresses immediate needs but GaSo and even Little Sammy have really strong classes on paper in the SoCon. GaSo would have to be ranked somewhere near the top (if recruiting classes in FCS can really be ranked).
