(kinda like "never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake")
The Republican party has shoveled the bulk of their advantageous positions into the fire pit these past 2 years
My suggestion is to let them continue doing so
That is 100% true
I’ve given up on fiscal responsibility- a collection of people such as ourselves cannot avoid electing manna from heaven politicians. So I am resigned to the fact that we will continue this course until other countries begin making our financial decisions for us, and then future governments will adopt inflationary policies (after the world switches over to trading on the Yuan) and then grandchildren I likely will never know will be the ones who suffer. I’m not even that concerned anymore that they will look back at me as a member of one of the most vile generations that was ever shat out onto this country.
My real irritation now is that Republicans, by surrendering principle and reason, are legitimizing the equally heinous left. When we swing back it is going to be a long, deep arc
Whatever good there was in the core beliefs of the mainstream Left
it was long ago taken hostage re-written or just thrown out
With Trump in charge
The middle Right has been racing downward to meet the middle left in a mad race to the bottom
the left and right now embrace each other in a smoldering flaming swan dive
with the ultimate destination somewhere well beneath common good
each having long ago cast aside dignity and self respect
neither is capable of recognizing it's own reflection as they race towards the shining surface
of an ocean of sewage
and we cheer them on from the festering garbage cluttered shoreline
each of us standing shin high in our own feces screaming for an outcome that satisfies our anger
and when the two plummeting titans hit the surface
we are all swept away in a flaming tidal wave of sewage
There how's that...
