When Liberals Pass "Common Sense" Gun Laws
When Liberals Pass "Common Sense" Gun Laws
They pass "red flag" laws.
Which allows anybody in your family who has a beef with you to call police and ask for a protective order to confiscate your firearms.
Which makes you guilty until proven innocent.
And then the police enter your home and shoot you dead.

I thought we usually went with the "follow the cops' orders and nothing bad will happen" route in these threads.

I thought you usually went with "civil liberties", "innocent until proven guilty", and "no gestapo policing"?Skjellyfetti wrote:I thought we usually went with the "follow the cops' orders and nothing bad will happen" route in these threads.

The red flag law in MD will not stand up to judicial scrutiny.93henfan wrote:They pass "red flag" laws.

BUT
This wont be the case that does it. His only recourse now is his family suing the police for killing him, and it looks like the shooting itself was justified. Why the police were there in the first place us immaterial.
If he had given up his guns then we'd be on a short trip to SCOTUS

Yeah that appears to be a bad law.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

Does it even need to be a family member? With all the doxxing, I could see it being just about anyone who had a beef ...and they get to remain anonymous.93henfan wrote:They pass "red flag" laws.

Does "midget porn" in a search history constitute a danger for the purposes of buying a gun?Chizzang wrote:frankly I love it...

So Delaware made bump stocks illegal (effective 1 Jan 19) and held two buyback events. Ivy and I can rest easier knowing that a whopping 31 bump stocks and one trigger crank were turned in.
But the bastards wouldn't take my stash:

Police agreed to take the "crudely crafted" items but refused to pay out the $12,000 that the man who made them was seeking.
