Out here in the heart of Mormon land, i can go months at a time without even smelling tobacco.

One thing I noticed from the chart was the people making the least money had the highest percentage of smokers.

Be careful with that. Supposedly eating weed literally makes it a different drug as it's processed through liver. It's a delayed hit, but way stronger once it comes on.

Weed is safer than alcohol for driving. I conducted a few experiments in this field.

And alcohol is safer than texting in that regard.

You know, there was actually a controlled experiment using a driving simulator that produced results suggesting that talking on cell phone...not texting...just talking...makes the driver more likely to get into an accident than having a 0.08 blood alcohol level does. That's because during the experiment there were three cases of drivers using cell phones who got into virtual accidents while none with 0.08 blood alcohol levels did. The sample size was relatively small. One does wonder if they could've gotten a "significant" result on that if they'd gotten a larger sample size. In any case, based on other observations, the study authors concluded that talking on a cell phone introduces similar increased risk.

Now, me, I look at that as one more indication that we are over the top with DUI laws and have gone way to far with them. But I understand that others will just say that means we have to outlaw people using cell phones while driving (which I would not like at all).

Yes and I have to take back something. The study authors did say that the rate of accidents during cell phone use WAS "significantly" higher than the rate of accidents associated with driving with a 0.08 BAC.

Yet there are literally 10s of millions of people who routinely talk on their mobile phones while driving who are all gung ho to throw somebody in jail and ruin their life if they blow a 0.08.
