Nothing wrong with watching the other sidelines and then writing it down or trying to remember it. Entirely different thing when you video tape the other sidelines, both during games and during walkthroughs, and then study that at your leisure, and did it for about 7 straight year (the length of time by Belichick's own admission even), all in violation of specific league rules to the contrary. Heck, the change in their success in the Super Bowls pre and post revelation is pretty stark. If it didn't matter why were they doing it in the first place? Cheaters. on their sidelines watching the plays come in for hand signals or whatever they can pick up

They've been able to win football games at a higher winning percentage after spygate
But the proof for you - is that somehow - they've only managed to get to five Superbowls since Spygate
Because you know - only five Superbowl appearances since they were busted
Please tell me more
This is hilarious

Re: 2018 NFL Season Thread
I'm gonna need someone to explain the intentional grounding call against Mahomes when he spiked the ball toward the end of the half. They said it was grounding because the clock wasn't moving. However the game clock moved from 9 to 8 seconds during the play. AND then they said it came with a 10 second run off, but that is only true if the clock was moving. So which is it??

Nah. I am winning all three of my leagues pretty easily this week. I was just very confused by that whole sequence.93henfan wrote:Needed 6 points in fantasy, huh?Vidav wrote:I'm gonna need someone to explain the intentional grounding call against Mahomes when he spiked the ball toward the end of the half. Re: 2018 NFL Season Thread
My understanding is that you can only spike the ball to stop a running clock. The clock wasn't running prior to the snap so he didn't need to spike it thus intentional grounding. The clock starts running on the snap so that's why it would it went from 9 to 8 seconds.Vidav wrote:I'm gonna need someone to explain the intentional grounding call against Mahomes when he spiked the ball toward the end of the half. Is it just me or does Carson Wentz have the neck of a linebacker (and not a quarterback)

Excellent bye week for the Eagles. Redskins and Cowboys both lost. Gotta take care of business against Dallas at home this week.

Gonna be a slobberknocker at the Linc on Sunday night. Cowboys are fighting for their lives now.Ivytalk wrote:Excellent bye week for the Eagles. Redskins and Cowboys both lost. Gotta take care of business against Dallas at home this week.
If the Eagles lose, there's a very real possibility of the NFC East Champ being 7-9.
If the Eagles have any desire to go on a playoff run this year, they must win 3 of the next 4, and one is against the Saints in The Big Easy.
