the Eagles are in the NFC East
The second best team in that division is probably something like an 8 - 8 Dallas Cowboys team
If the Eagles can find a way to win 9 games (and I think they'll win 10 or more)

They're in the playoffs and then anything can happen

It is beginning to look like the Eagles caught lightning in a bottle last year, and will not get close to repeating this year.

Agree with this - just have to win the division, and the NFC East is bad. Starts with this Thursday at the NYG, so going 6-0 in division would be really nice. Then see what happens come January. Hasn't been a repeat Super Bowl champ in like 14 years or so, but making some noise in the playoffs would be awfully nice.

The vaunted Carolina defense allowed the Giants to score 31 points and had to rely on a 63 yard FG to win in the last minute.

They are going to be. in trouble if they cant get the D going

I hope they didn't inspire the Giants to finally put together a victory this Thursday night.

Whoever loses the Gints-Eagles game Thursday can go ahead and start planning their January cruises.

The thing about the NFL right now is that the talent level is extremely even across the board
4 years ago 33% the NFL defensive talent was on two teams (Denver and Seattle)

everybody else had a few really solid Defensive guys
but those two teams had a top 5 guy at 5 or 6 of their starting positions
Denver had something like 72% of their cap value on one side of the ball

Everybody knew that would likely buy them ONE Superbowl (and it did)

Salaries have escalated in such a manner that it'll be a while before we see that happen again
and it's served to "flatten" the talent levels out significantly among the entire spectrum

When a guy like Laveon Bell wants $20 million - and will likely get it
The talent level starts to even out

I couldn't have asked for a better start to the Redskins season. There is nothing better than them winning every other game to watch the rollercoaster that is Skins fans. One week they're...

Agree, and Denver is paying for it now. They are a disaster and Elway needs to shake things up big time.

Man, that had to be the quickest period of time of a window closing on a team's ability to compete for the championship. It opened in the playoffs in January when they should've won at Foxboro, and it pretty much closed with a bang this weekend. Who knew that Leonard Fournette was the glue keeping that whole team together!
