1) The Atlantic has been ahead of most of the media regarding the SJW's, safe spaces, etc. The first article I saw and posted here a few years back was from the Atlantic and it was very critical of the stifling of freedom on college campuses. (Now...go ahead and claim "trolling" )

2) Famke Janssen was hot!

I think Chick-fil-a quietly did.

Boycotts tend to not work but if people feel better by voting with their wallet, so be it. This guy is simply like the typical homophobic christian who "completely forgot" gay porn was supposed to be off limits.

The Eastern Orthodox Churches, including the Antiochian Orthodox Church, will likely be restored to full communion with the other Catholic Churches in the near future. Francis, the Bishop of Rome, and
Patriarch Bartholomew I, the Archbishop of Constantinople, have already agreed between themselves that the mutual declarations of excommunications of 1054 were never valid. In 1965, the Pope and the Patriarch of Constantinople agreed to "lift" the mutual declarations. But the new understanding will go even further, declaring them to be "ultra vires" and never with genuine effect.

And they appear on the verge of agreeing that the concept of "the primacy of the Bishop of Rome" -- which Bartholomew accepts -- means that the Pope is the ultimate authority on all matters of faith, but those Catholic Churches which have historically governed themselves independently of Rome may continue to do so.

So the Pope is the final word in all matters of faith, but he does not have enforcement authority over other Catholic Churches, absent their consent. Still, in all matters of faith, all Catholic Churches must abide by the instruction of the Pope.

I think this understanding models the way the original First Century Catholic Churches actually operated. The Church in Rome was the final word on doctrine; but practically speaking, it could not control or govern the Catholic Churches in the eastern territories.

Trump May Be Involved In 1956 Lemonade Stand Scandal, Mueller Investigation Finds

Another Trump Scandal Link

New revelations from special counsel Robert Mueller’s office suggest that a 10-year-old Donnie Trump might have avoided paying taxes on $12,000 he earned at a lemonade stand over four months in the summer of 1956.

The probe also learned that Mr. Trump’s lemonade was watered down to include only 10% lemon juice and was exorbitantly priced at 25 cents a cup when other children in his Queens, NY neighborhood were only charging 10 cents per glass of cold refreshment.

“Donnie’s lemonade was always warm, weak, and watery, but he got 25 cents by bullying other kids and even their parents into buying his swill,” said Louise Marks, a former neighbor of Donald Trump in his family’s old New York neighborhood. “Donnie told everyone that his father would have them evicted from their homes if they didn’t buy his diluted crap. We were scared, so what could we do?”

Special counsel’s office has also discovered irregularities in tax filings for a newspaper route president had in 1958

Here's how CNN Wire reports on good guy with a gun stories (guess they don't want them to be searchable for pro-gun oppo research):

http://www.wktv.com/content/national/485715862.html

What the story doesn't say is that the three "victims" attempted to rob two people coming out of the grocery store, but (oops!) the two victims were armed. Someone reading this "who-what-where but no why" story could infer that it was the bad guys who did the shooting.

The victims were unhurt, all three robbers went to the hospital.

Ex-CIA engineer accused of leaking hacking docs to WikiLeaks charged in massive 'Vault 7' security breach

The ex-CIA software engineer suspected of leaking a massive, highly secret trove of U.S. hacking tools and source code to WikiLeaks has been charged in federal court with a series of Espionage Act violations.

Joshua Schulte, 29, allegedly disclosed thousands of top-secret files outlining the extent of the CIA’s cyberwarfare capabilities in an unprecedented breach that triggered an intensive investigation even before WikiLeaks published the information in March 2017.

In March and June 2016, Schulte modified a computer run by the U.S. Intelligence Agency to “delet[e] records of his activities” and “den[y] others access to the system,” prosecutors charge in a superseding indictment unveiled Monday.

The former CIA engineer was accused formally in the indictment of lying to federal investigators, illegally gathering and transmitting national security information, theft of government property, and other offenses......

...Schulte was charged last year with knowingly receiving and possessing child pornography, and those charges are also listed in the latest federal grand jury indictment.....

...Last March, WikiLeaks touted its stunning 8,000-plus page disclosure as the full hacking capacity of the CIA, saying it was “the largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency.”

The 8,761 documents and files — released as ”Vault 7 Part 1,” and titled “Year Zero” — were obtained from an “isolated, high-security network” at the CIA’s Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Va., WikiLeaks claimed....”

Just another example of those messy little wars in which the US is entangled and as to which Congress has abdicated its Constitutional duty. :ohno:

Speaking of which, did you hear about the Kaine-Corker bill? It amounts to another blank check for Executive war-making. If you thought the War Powers Resolution was dicey... :|
