No one seemed to worry about the folks hildamort was taking money from. Funny how all of a sudden it matters now, eh?

EDIT: I forgot to add this pertaining to your "deep state" comment: 2 more FBI officials are being shown the door. I lost count as to how many that is now. Looking forward to the Horowitz report.

That as the Clinton Foundation...not Clinton.

Haven't the high dollar donations to the Clinton Foundation slowed since Clinton's loss in 2016?

They essentially shuttered it

The business model doesn’t work without someone in high office to curry favor with

Have no fear, though... Chelsea’s got her eye on a Senate seat from NY

Gotta hand it to the Clinton Foundation, they were very clear that they would not accept large donations from foreign entities. Well, they wouldn't accept them after Hillary took office. Very noble of them. :coffee:

Interesting oped in the WSJ:
The bureau already has some explaining to do. Thanks to the Washington Post’s unnamed law-enforcement leakers, we know Mr. Nunes’s request deals with a “top secret intelligence source” of the FBI and CIA, who is a U.S. citizen and who was involved in the Russia collusion probe. When government agencies refer to sources, they mean people who appear to be average citizens but use their profession or contacts to spy for the agency. Ergo, we might take this to mean that the FBI secretly had a person on the payroll who used his or her non-FBI credentials to interact in some capacity with the Trump campaign.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/about-that ... 1525992611

Interesting if true, I guess we'll know soon enough if it is now that the DOJ was forced to hand over more docs to Congress.

Oh and Jelly, you been following up on the Super Duper Justice League team and its efforts against that Russian FB troll farm?

How do you derive that from me making light of the super justice team totally blundering away their whole approach to the troll farm case? Seems like they went at this case for the headlines and to feed into the "Russia" narrative with little to no intention of actually taking it to court. Whoops.

One needs look no further than the Russian guy's lawyer making discovery motions

Mueller and Co never expected these charges to see the inside of a courtroom - now they're being told to follow due process and show their hand

The charges against the troll farmers was a show - just like a few other things

whoops

Cohen...probably not a lobbyist according to NPR.

https://www.npr.org/2018/05/11/60990373 ... ions-legal

Evidently, he's just a lawyer who sells access to the Trump administration. Even if he was a lobbyist, he's just petitioning the government for the redress of grievances.

All perfectly fine.

The scrambling to get close to Trump after the election was surely a goat rope of EPIC proportions

Imagine all those corporations and foreign entities.... they had their lobbyists with connections to the Clintons lined up all in a row

Then November 2016 happened...........

For people who love chaos it must have been like watching a combination of snuff porn and weasels fvcking

Lawyers representing Prigozhin filed a motion. That's it.

Sounds to me like you're hoping the judge rules in favor Prigozhin and against Mueller. Am I wrong?

It's not a blunder unless the judge rules against them and they have to drop the case. :suspicious:

That's the point. You seem to be really hoping the judge rules against Mueller.

As with all this stuff, hard to tell where the truth is, but Concord Catering is the proverbial ham sandwich. They are saying Mueller indictment was for a time frame before they were around. The special Prosecutor indicted a ham sandwich.

It's the other Concord group that has pleaded not guilty and has asked for discovery documents. That's why Mueller would have to drop them-he doesn't want his information out there. He didn't expect a plea, or lawyers.

I don't have hopes one way or the other- but coming from you that question is RICH, Mister Casual Observer

I do like seeing due process run its course though

Watch what happens with this "just a motion"

And, I don't know why you're putting "just a motion" in quotes - since I didn't say that. :suspicious:

But, yeah. I'll be watching to see how the judge rules and to what extent she makes the government meet their requests. :thumb:

You said, "lawyers ..... filed a motion. That's it."

Sort of like saying "Some people died in the war. That's it."

I paraphrased you but the tone is spot on

Yeah. And, it doesn't mean anything until a judge agrees. Like Philip Berg filing a motion that Obama was an illegitimate President because he was born in Kenya. Until a federal judge agrees... it doesn't mean much.

Mueller indicted the Russian companies to much fanfare. One of them, Concord, hired lawyers to appear in court. The lawyers filed numerous discovery requests and requested a speedy trial. Mueller's staff argued that the company had not been properly served in an attempt to try and stall even though the lawyers were in court. The judge agreed with the company's lawyers.

Can you imagine going into court with the defendant's lawyers and telling the judge they were not properly served? :dunce: Will Mueller drop the charges to avoid having to provide disclosure?

Until a judge agrees on discovery? LAWL

That's like saying "until a judge agrees the defendant has a right to counsel"

They filed a discovery motion

Mueller asked for a delay (hmm)

The judge denied the Mueller request

He'll have to give the judge some pretty fantastical reason why the defense isn't entitled to the evidence against their client
