Patrick Corbin came damn close to a no-hitter last night in Phoenix. Only a check-swing blooper in the 8th was allowed. Would have been great to witness a no-hitter in person.

So much for the Japanese wunderkid pitching for the Angels...he only lasted two innings...

Mookie Betts opened the game by taking one of his fast balls and depositing it over the left field fence...one of his three home runs last night...

Red Sox 10 - Angels 1

Sox are now 14 - 2

The biggest home field advantage in all of baseball has to the be the Nats at Citi Field in NY. Now 51-19 since 2011. That's pace for a 118 win season.

Had to leave after 2 with a blister on his finger.

Reds fired their manager after a 3-15 start.

2018 Major League Baseball Season

The Rockies just gave up a 9 run inning to the banjo hitting San Diego Padres. That probably is close to the Pads output for the season.

Nats barely hanging on to closing distance, glad they avoided the sweep. Missing Murphy for the whole season, Eaton for two-thirds of the season, Rendon for half the season... :(

BTW, Dbacks uniforms are absolutely dreadful. :ohno:

Rockies, pitching better than expected, but the hitting sucks. 1run in 3 games vs Marlins, it was driven in by pitcher, but they won it.

Boston maintains the best record in baseball...with the Yankees only one game behind them in the AL East...

Both teams start a series Tuesday...

5 in a row for the Rockies. Blackmon has 11 dingers, 10 on the road.

Agreed on the uniforms. Can’t stand this rotation of different uniforms every single day. I am old school, and love the simplicity of the Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, Giants, etc. I HATE the 78 different uniform combinations.

Twins starting pitcher selects uniform color each day.

The Diamondbacks actually have a lot of good looks uniform-wise, but they have some duds as well. When they go with the dark red/crimson/whatever shade that is and they go with those dark gray pants it just looks dreadful. But I guess when you have 78 combinations you're bound to have a dud here and there.

I absolutely hated that purple and teal combo that several new teams in the 90's adopted, but at least they had an identity. I honestly have no idea what color the Dbacks are supposed to be now. Red, black, grey, gold, teal, purple... :dunce:

Diamondbacks are mostly done with a total of nine games against last years WS teams (2-2 vs Dodgers, 2-1 vs Astros, play two at Dodgers Tuesday/Wednesday) - no team had ever played consecutive series against the defending champions from both Leagues before

Dbacks' Matt Koch first to face consecutive league MVP's since 1947 (and out-dueled both)

http://arizonasports.com/story/1521813/ ... rent-mvps/

Five days after taking the mound against Clayton Kershaw, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Matt Koch was put up to another difficult task.

He faced Justin Verlander of the Houston Astros on Sunday, who had a 1.13 ERA with four wins coming into the day.

Koch was the first pitcher to go head-to-head against two MVPs in consecutive starts since 1947, according to Stats LLC.

How do you have time to watch baseball when Trump is President?

Every minute you waste not canvassing is a potential lost vote. How will you ever turn Arizona blue or repeal the Bill of Rights when you lack focus?

Schedule definitely gets easier from here. LA/Washington/Milwaukee/Cincinnati/Miami... :thumb:

Big PLUS: Kershaw just went on the DL, so he won't pitch in this series... :coffee:

I hire illegals to do most of that.

Plus, baseball is great - I have time to make calls in-between pitches.

You wish you could play the Dodgers more. They're a hot mess.
