Mayfield is small, slow, doesn't have the greatest arm and he's an asshole but he fvcking wins and I place more value on that than Rosen's perfect passes or Allen's strong arm. Darnold was a safer pick. I would have picked Watson over Trubisky or Mahomes last year for the same reason. Meh...
I disagree on the assessment of Mayfield
Every year there are few guys like him that are available in the draft
and nobody seems to be able to turn them into starting NFL quarterbacks
And just to be clear he's considerably slower than Russell Wilson
and about the same size without quite as much arm strength
He won't beat Tyrod Taylor out of a job ever...
but that doesn't mean he won't start games

The WR core is going to have to make MAYFIELD look good by him simply throwing the ball up and they go and get it if its in a crowd.ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Rosen will be a bust just like MayfieldSent from my SM-G955U using TapatalkUNI88 wrote: I respect your opinion but disagree with it. Rosen needs to grow up that statement he made about the other teams not drafting him was proof positive he is immature.ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Rosen will be a bust just like MayfieldSent from my SM-G955U using TapatalkUNI88 wrote: I respect your opinion but disagree with it. Re: NFL DRAFT!!!!!
JMU curbed stopped SDSU 51-16, but Goedert did look like a man among boys out there. It’s was a good thing for JMU he was injured/not close to 100%, and the SDSU QB was terrible. Goedert’s 5 catches/43 yds/1 TD would have been a lot higher if he was healthy & had a decent QB.Gil Dobie wrote:Wentz had a great response too.

Re: NFL DRAFT!!!!!
Goedert's in a great spot - gets to watch Ertz play and learn from him, the Eagles have plenty of targets on offense so he doesn't need to be a mega star from day one, and the Eagles put the tight ends in great places to be successful. Oh, and Wentz is throwing the ball. You have to work to not be successful in the Eagles offense these days.BDKJMU wrote:JMU curbed stopped SDSU 51-16, but Goedert did look like a man among boys out there. Apparently the Eagles seventh rounder is a 6’8” 346 lb <10% body-fat rugby player who has never played a down of American football. Should be a fun experiment to follow the next couple of years.

I agree. That's an interesting thing. I don't watch much NFL football nowadays but I'll keep this one in the back of my mind.93henfan wrote:Apparently the Eagles seventh rounder is a 6’8” 346 lb <10% body-fat rugby player who has never played a down of American football. One thing I wonder is why they won't consider the option of him as a defensive lineman. Kind of keep the options open.
