Bobby Hauck Back at Montana

Post by GrizMadman »

MT is his & his wife's home. I did not think he would leave the halcyon climate of San Diego and a chance to be San Diego State's HC. But, there it is. His bad experience at UNLV should not be held against him, as at the time, the program, there, had little support. I think BH will bring back to the Griz the kind of performance/execution football that placed several MT kids in the NFL. I do wish him well and I hope that he can resurrect the Griz program.

I'm not sure why that still wouldn't be possible. That was one of my (many) concerns with a Hauck hire: he could still bolt for SDSU anyway in a year or two if Long retires.

Not looking forward to making it the NC game and then losing to a CAA team again?

They've lost to JMU, Richmond and Villanova in the finals. Teehee.
But, just for the fun of it, I was assuming a NEW CAA team. So which team would it be?
Delaware? Rhode Island? Maybe Elon?
It actually doesn't matter who you choose, as all CAA teams beat Montana in the NC finals! Which is a fact!

All of those games were like a million losses ago. None of us even remember them at this point :king:

Yeah I have no idea what he's talking about. I do member when JMU was the #1 seed and we beat them on the road, though.

I 'member that too. And JMU has since won another NC, so I'm totally okay with that game.
But this is about NC games where Montana ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS loses to CAA teams. Keep up!

Following that, unfortunately, the Griz decided they should leave Lawrence Sidbury unblocked for 60 minutes. :?

I think that's a good hire. Interesting too.

GoGriz still shows Stitt as HC....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I do find it weird that gogriz hasn't even mentioned that Stitt is gone. To not mention that is pretty unusual for an official athletic website.

I don't. In fact I had completely forgotten that name (or repressed the memories)

Don't know the exact specifics, but read it one time on eGriz...something about our all-world right tackle playing injured (foot or shoulder, can't recall) and it severely hindered his ability to block and contain Mr. Sidbury.

I figured it was the crappy pass blocking the Griz had every year Kaligis was the O-Line coach.
