Surprised UM-EWU has that many votes (not from me). Didn't even make the poll on AGS...

It's a strategic play - 2 Big Sky games will compete with each other for votes giving another game a chance to steal the honors.

I personally find Weber State - UC Davis the more interesting of the 2 Big Sky match-ups at this point in the season.

Interesting that I'm not the only one that thinks that Nicholls State at Sam Houston State game is big.

I don't know what to think about Nicholls State. Honestly McNeese should have beaten them by something like three touchdowns. I'm talking about in terms of looking at how successful each team was at moving the ball. But they did win the game and they did make some big plays to do it (two long pass plays that accounted for 139 of their 304 yards total offense plus a 67 yard pick six).

Then they were very impressive against Texas A&M. Then they completely smoked Prairie View after I watched Prairie View look very good against Sam Houston State. The Panthers rushed for 334 yards at 7.4 yards per carry against Sam Houston State. They managed only 133 at 3.2 per carry against the Colonels.

Of course I guess run defense isn't the deal against Sam Houston State.

What a horrific selection. It has to be us by default, unless Nicholls is good or something, and I don't care to know

Absolutely. Here's how the CAA games rank in terms of most compelling:
1. VU (2-1) --------- @ Albany (2-1), 7:00 PM, ESPN3
2. Elon (2-1) --------- @ UR (2-1) 6:00 PM, CSN Mid Atlantic (Don't laugh, Elon has upset Furman and ranked CSU the last 2 weeks.
3. Maine (1-1) @ JMU (3-0) 1:30, MASN
4. Towson (2-1) ------- @ SBU (2-1) 6:00 PM, CBS Digital
5. URI (1-2/0-1) -------- @ UNH (2-1/1-0) 3:30 PM

Why is Albany considered good? Wins against Morgan St and Monmouth are now more impressive than they have been? The Elon/UR game is interesting, the others not so much.

Wow has the better defense this year between two historically poor defensive teams, WCU or Samford?

JMU is going to stomp a mudhole in Maine and Richmond is going to demolish Elon.

Albany 26, Morgan State 0
Towson 10, Morgan State 0

Albany 28, Monmouth 14
Monmouth 46, Lehigh 27

Villanova 38, Lehigh 35

So by comparative scores Albany is better than TU and VU. And VU is a top 10 team who only lost to Temple by 3 and just beat Lafayette 59-0.

Yeah, you could flip the Albany/VU with UR/Elon, and say UR/Elon is the most compelling. But there's no way you could argue SBU/TU is.

And Albany will play VU close, maybe pull the upset..Both those teams have decent chances at making the playoffs. Towson doesn't.

The truth is, none of them are really compelling. JMU/UR/VU playing each other are really the only match-ups I would call compelling right now.

Went with Nicholls vs Sam Houston. I think it may have bigger conference implications than the others on the list....at least at this point.

It'll be the critical game that nobody is watching.

Meanwhile, 26,500 will be in attendance in Missoula, and several hundred thousand more will be watching it from the comfort of their living rooms across the state and the nation.

Kalm,

Want to bet on this game? If Griz win, you keep Polz in Wa. If EWU wins Montana will let you keep Polz in WA.......
