Next man up. The Dukes are pretty deep. I watched a little bit of their game on Saturday on MASN. They're loaded.

Yeah, but JMU is a team competing for a championship, so I figured it was newsworthy.

Competing is overrated93henfan wrote:Yeah, but JMU is a team competing for a championship, so I figured it was newsworthy.

Sucks for Cardon. At least his 2nd Achilles injury. Might be able to get a new redshirt.
2013 redshirted
2014 missed entire season due to injury (don't remember what the injury was).
2015: 2nd team All CAA
2016: Khalid Abdullah's (cut by Giants) backup. Was on pace for over 1k yards as the #2 back when he went down 9th game of the season vs UR with an achilles injury.
2017: Had 347 yards rushing in 2+ games, including 265 @ ECU.
#2 back: Marcus Marshall, Jr, Ga Tech's leading rusher the last 2 season. 183 yards rushing through the 1st 3 games.
#3 back: Trai Sharp, Jr. Former 3 star recruit with multiple ACC/Big 10 offers. Abdullah's backup last year the last 1/2 doz games after Johnson went down. Last season rushed for 617 yards, including for 144 in the quarterfinals vs Soft Houston. Through 3 games this season 168 yards, including 130 yards on only 9 carries vs NSU. Found out in the 4th quarter vs NSU his father had passed away.

#4 back Taylor Woods (Sr) 3 games, 10 carries, 53 yards.
#5 back Percy Agyei-Obese (Fr): Redshirt pulled vs NSU, 16 carries, 103 yds, 1 TD. Limited sample size against a shitty defense, but consensus in JMU board is the best looking true freshman back since Abdullah in 2013. I expect he will soon be the #3 back behind Marshall and Sharp.
Don't know if will have Sharp for the Maine game due to his father's passing. As far as the rest of the season, JMU will still be stacked at RB unless suffer more injuries.
