Southern was outside of the top 10 last season because Baton Rouge flooded two weeks before the start of the season
Jackson State was #4 and its a chance the could finish #1 in 2017
I think these ratings involve factors other than just attendance. I've never been to the Southern tailgating scene but I've heard it's really good. I did go to one game at Southern when McNeese played there in 2004. But I just went to the game and didn't go early to see the game day atmosphere.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I also have to give UM more credit, WaGriz is no easy place to play. I also think MSU should have been mentioned over Franklin Field & possible over Dykehouse Stadium.
Not since the renovation. Looks like a first class place.
I mean, it's ok :D

But the Jackrabbits don't fill it up. MSU definitely has a better game day & HFA. #BigSkyAllDay. @Thumper76 & @89Hen

Maybe for now. SDSU's average attendance has grown by 10k (reg season Ave 15k) since 2006. I doubt with the new stadium it's going to stay behind MSU

I know that others (notably SDH) will disagree with me, but having checked out JMU's facility page, it seems that JMU lost all credibility with me when they decided in 2003 that track was no longer fit to be showcased in the stadium.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

That's OK, you lost all credibility here a long time ago. Don't sweat it. :thumb:

I think the two National Championships they've garnished since 2003 trump you and your odd misgivings.
