That Franklin Field isn't #1 like you asked.
Well no shit - it's not even the nicest in the Ivy league. Everyone knows that the new Princeton Stadium is the best in the league.

Yes reverse order. I saw it reported on the McNeese site.

I think McNeese's atmosphere has declined some in recent years. But I think it is still a good game day atmosphere. I think the pre game tailgating stuff is pretty good.

I think the SWAC got left out because it's in its own little world.

I've always agreed that Montana's Washington Griz is the Mecca of I-AA/FCS football.

And because they really don't have many big home games. Their big attendance numbers come from "Classics". Last year Grambling played 3 games at home.

EWU's Roos Field is one of the 10 Best Stadiums to Visit. Also, I'd expect you to be a Roos Field supporter, seeing as JMU's stadium took EWU's place as the most lopsided stadium in FCS. :coffee:

Don't be mad that EWU was smart enough to make the top 10 list at 8.6k stadium capacity.

YSU probably still holds that honor, but Bridgeforth >>>>>>> Roos. This is comical...

Drove by Roos the other day. It's still as unbelievably spectacular as the inaugural kickoff in 2010...

I like Roos. Between the blinding red, and the fact you're sitting like 50 yards away from the field, I'm spared from actually seeing the Griz act like the Keystone Cops

You'd be sitting 25 yards from the field if there wasn't a track around it

Does the field look like shit in person like it does on TV? The handful of times I've watched a game I've had to dick with my TV settings because it is painful on the eyes..

And having a sub 10k stadium, with a track around it too boot, in the top 10 is
Richmond pulled the same retard move- built a brand 8.7k stadium, then put the bleachers 40-50 yards away because of putting a track around the stadium. :dunce:

Sub 10k with track = high school..

Agreed! Do you know how huge those away bleachers would look if we were 40 yards closer!!!

jmu's stadiums wasn't in the top 10 before the lopsided expansion. Fact is, nobody cared about jmu football before their expansion. After jmu goes to some scumbag FBS conf like the Sunbelt you'll be back at square one: Nobody caring about jmu football. :coffee:

Wrong. NC in 04', semis in 08' expansion in 11'. 05'-10' JMU was bursting at the seems averaging 15+k to 16+k. More people cared about JMU football then than care about EWU football now. And after JMU moves up to whatever crap I-A conference we'll move up to, far more people will still care about JMU football than EWU...

8,435  JMU hasn't averaged that low this century..Last time under 10k was our last losing season back in 02' after a losing season 01'..9,949..

Wake me up when you play in more than a HS sized stadium in front of more than HS sized crowds..

Southern was outside of the top 10 last season because Baton Rouge flooded two weeks before the start of the season
Jackson State was #4 and its a chance the could finish #1 in 2017

The only one I have been to is Wa-Griz. It really does provide a home team advantage as we found out :ohno: .

Bridgeforth will be tough to beat if they get the funding to match the home side.

But it's so hit or miss with SWAC games. They had 33,000 at Jackson State when they played your Jags and less than 7k for Alabama A&M and only 13k for Grambling. There's no telling which week will be full or empty.
