4,000. Look up..Gil Dobie wrote:The stadium is under construction, and there are 5000 less seats available than last year. On AGS, the Bison fans appear to be selling all their tickets. Also per the JMU board on the Mike Houston show today they said that JMU has received and sold 7,000 tickets. And that doesn't account for anyone that purchased through the secondary market. I think JMU will bring somewhere between 8-10k, YSU at least half that, maybe a thousand or so unafilliated. With maybe a couple k empty seats from tickets NDSU fans couldn't or wouldn't sell, the game will be called a sellout (or darn close)..

For the YSU TD at the end of the game, the YSU player caught the TD on the back of Ketner Kupp, adding a grab to the Kupp name, making it 11 grabs and 3 scores.dal4018 wrote:No it was 10 grabs 180 yds 2 scores again played well in defeat this guy reminds me of a YOUNG STEVE LARGENT only BIGGER!!!!Rob Iola wrote: I thought Kupp had 11 grabs for 3 scores?

That counts doesn't it? #1 play on SportsCenter top 10, if I recall correctly - that Kupp's quite the receiver, and apparently he even plays a little linebacker too...Gil Dobie wrote:I think he's talking about the YSU TD on the back of the other Kupp.Mvemjsunpx wrote:

In all seriousness I'm picking YSU even though I want JMU to win. YSU shouldn't have been within 2 TDs against EWU, especially with the suspensions, but somehow they managed to pull out the win. Any word on whether they get their safeties back for the NC?

Are they going to call this the FCS National Championship or the PED Bowl? Could you imagine the press if between the winning team of the Fiesta & Peach Bowl semifinals there were double digit players suspended for failed drug tests?

Montana's JR Nelson was suspended for the first 6 games of this season for the same thing, so I'm pretty sure the YSU players are done until well into next season as you indicated above.Gil Dobie wrote:I'm hearing Pot for the YSU players. Posted thisby accident on the YSU/EWU thread instead of here.
Seven James Madison Football Players Suspended
https://jamesmadison.rivals.com/news/se ... -suspended
None of the 7 played vs NDSU. Only 1 starter and 2 2nd team players. 2 named players:
-#7 Terrance Alls, rJr Duke transfer/grad student- 2nd leading WR, 3rd team All CAA- not a big loss. JMU had 6 WR who could pretty much start for any I-AA team. Now have 5. The kid who caught the winning TD pass @ NDSU (and @ SMU last year) is All's backup.
-#49 Brandon Hereford (Jr): a 2 deep LB who before the NDSU game was JMU's leading tackler. 2 inside LB positions in JMU's 5-2-5 defense. BEFORE the NDSU game:
#33 Gage Steel (rSr) played 11 games, 10 starts
#2 Dimitri Holloway (So) played 10 games, 8 starts
#49 Hereford played 13 games, 6 starts.
When all 3 LBs were healthy they rotated among the 2 spots. Steel, 1st team All CAA, (11 tackles vs NDSU) and Holloway (16 tackles vs NDSU) are the 2 best ones. Without Hereford = no depth.
Unnamed can pretty much be figured out by looking at the participation stats of players who played in most or every game but NDSU. One 2nd team safety. The remaining 4 likely 3rd-4th string.
The only 2 deep missing vs NDSU besides 3 the suspended were the All American RT, a corner, and the #2 RB, all of whom have been out the entire playoffs with injuries. JMU's suspended players certainly don't hurt as much as YSU's..

Meltdown on the YSU board. Fans are saying that YSU totally f'ed up their ticketing process, little marketing until Monday, and gave back 3 of their 4k tickets because of crappy home playoff attendance, worried the school would be left holding the bag (3k tickets x $75 = 225k) and then tons of their people got turned down.

There's people at JMU who got denied getting tickets from those 7k, and are forced to try to get them through the secondary market, and lots more buying through the secondary market without even utting in for JMU's alotment.

Last year NDSU @ YSU. Pelini with multiple unsportsmanlike and chases down the officials at the end. Pelini losing it starts after the 8 min mark. This guy makes Mickey Matthew's rants look tame..
