I'm shocked that dal hasn't already jumped in with this one....
Congratulations to Ryan Crouser, who just DESTROYED his own world record in the shot put by more than five inches! He heaved that big ball of ferrum 77 feet, 3.6 inches! Woo Hoo!!!!!
(And, no I DON'T play the metric game on the track except for sliding pole vault standards. Metric belongs in the lab, NOT on the track!)
World Record!

World Record!
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: World Record!
Another record!
Congratulations to Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway, who broke the World Record on Friday in the 2 mile run, an event rarely run after high school these days. He ran it in 7:54.10 at the Diamond League meet in Paris. Essentially, he strung together two sub-4-minute miles without a break. The only other sub-8-minute 2 mile in history was run by Kenya's Daniel Komen in 1997 (7:58.61). Wow!
