So you're saying he wasn't really a top tier QB? My point still stands then.GannonFan wrote:I wouldn't go that far. I'm convinced that Brett Favre was wildly overrated. I'm sure he would've found some way to force a pass and turn the ball over in a critical spot and not win nearly as many as Brady did.Grizalltheway wrote: You could insert any top-tier QB from the last 30 years and probably get the same results.

Let's call things what they are, otherwise what's the fucking point? Words matter. Facts matter. We should try to be accurate when we say things and have discussions. Do you disagree? Otherwise, what is the point? We should try to be correct and then be mature when we make a mistake or misunderstand something. I'm sure you have no problem with people using the incorrect banking/accounting terms all the time.AZGrizFan wrote:Of course you did. He's a studio runner. Neither.
Brady's barely third best in New England, much less the rest of the league. He had tons of help, and there's at least SOME evidence that he may have cheated. Plus, he has the advantage of having a coach in his ear rather than having to do it all himself.
Additionally, while Jordan may well be the best in Chicago history, I'll take E. Johnson, Bird, and Erving over him any day of the week....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

AZ makes a good argument, though I'd delete Bryant and add Bench....

All different types of players. I would take any of the 4 as pretty much equal, just filling a different part of the team.Ibanez wrote:Johnson, Bird and Dr.J -all are really great players. Truly incredible.SuperHornet wrote:Neither.

Re: GOAT - Brady vs Jordan
I'd put Johnson and Bird both above Jordan. Both made the players around them 1000% better. Jordan just carried the team himself. Dr. J, juuuuust below him.Ibanez wrote:Johnson, Bird and Dr.J -all are really great players. Truly incredible.SuperHornet wrote:Neither.

Re: GOAT - Brady vs Jordan
In 1925 Ty Cobb said it was not a great feet to hit home runs. In 1925, a 38 year old Cobb put on a demonstration. On May 5th, Cobb went 6-6 with 3 home runs and 5 RBI's, on May 6th Cobb went 3-6 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI's. Pretty much proved his points. He went back to his normal stance after that.
