What a crappy looking golf course. Terrible shape.

Koepka is the most neutral personality ever. Hard to like or hate. Nothing glaring to make fun of. Girlfriend (or wife, whoever the chick is next to him wearing the t-shirt with the hearts over her tits) is neither ugly nor drop-dead stunning.
Shit. Nothing to talk about.

Me too. Koepka was lucky that second shot bounced off the grandstands on 18.kalm wrote:I was rooting for the dirty hippie Brit.93henfan wrote:Koepka is the most neutral personality ever. I don't typically care for golf, but I caught the US Open between WC matches and I'd tune in more if it was as exciting as this weekend. That was the best tourney of the majors I've ever seen.Ivytalk wrote:What a crappy looking golf course. Terrible shape.

You're grasping with that list other than maybe Bob Charles.Gil Dobie wrote: I would add Roberto De Vicenzo, Bob Charles, Peter Thomson, David Graham, Sandy Lyle, Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman and Seve Ballesteros to your list. All played during Nicklaus Major run.
DeVincenzo: 1 Open Championship, only played in 5 US Opens with one Top 10 finish, only played in 2 PGA Championships with one quarterfinal appearance (match play at the final 8).
Thomson: played in 5 US Opens with one Top 10 finish (missed cut 2x), 1 Top 10 at Masters in 10 tries.
Then you get to these guys...
Graham: didn't do anything in the majors until 1977 (only 4 of Jack's major wins came after)
Langer: was in the 80's and forward, using him could only help make my argument as to why Jack didn't keep winning.
Norman: 1981 > .. same as Langer
Ballesteros: 1981 first Masters win
As I said, those actually support my position that as more of the international players starting arriving, it got harder and harder for any one person to win.

So Jack still won 4 majors after the age of 37, with all these your super stars kicking everyone's butt.89Hen wrote:You're grasping with that list other than maybe Bob Charles.Gil Dobie wrote: I would add Roberto De Vicenzo, Bob Charles, Peter Thomson, David Graham, Sandy Lyle, Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman and Seve Ballesteros to your list. 1986 Masters, Norman leading, Seve and Langer were tied 2nd after the 3rd round. Jack shot -7 on the final day to beat all 3. Jack was mid 40's and these guys were in their prime, 28-31 years old.

The USGA appears to be an elitist, boutique organization that's no longer helping the game or the industry. After seeing all the "Play 9" promotional ads the first two days, I decided to check it out and see if we can join the program. The Washington State Golf Association has a Play 9 landing page with zero events or programs created and the link to the USGA's Play 9 page gives you 404 not found error.
And then they don't DQ Phil for an obvious major breach. I guarantee you if that takes place in the PNW Section at the Washington Open or Oregon Open, the player is done.

Not meant to be trolling in any form. Jack was just that good when he got hot. Not many golfers then or now, or in-between could beat him when he was on his game. Tiger vs Jack in their prime, would have been a great rivalry. Jack still finishes in the top 10 more often, because he played more conservative overall, than Tiger.

First, they were YOUR golfers. And four majors at any age is nothing to sneeze at, but it's not unheard of. Shit, Mark O'Meara won two in one year at age 41.Gil Dobie wrote:'89Hen wrote: Obviously you're in full troll mode now. Thanks for the conversation.
