Shocking news I know, but the Lions won't make the playoffs this year.

Wasn’t there some QB from Appy that was pretty good?

Great job by Roberts! Of course it's tough to predict how college players will turn out in the NFL. Especially when they played in D-II.

I was unable to watch the game so I don't know what happened. But I fully admit being shut out for the first time since 2003 might derail the season. Still only need one win to clinch the division though.

Cam Newton is shelved for final two games. Former Walter Payton Award winner, Taylor Heinicke, will make his first career start.

The Panthers will simultaneously be evaluating Cam's cap hit at $23.5 Mil in 2019
Because they have an "OUT" in 2020 at virtually zero dollars dead money

Ron Rivera is on the hot seat as well...

He hasn't been able to coach Newton into a selfless team leader QB
Nor has he created an offense where Cam flourishes - you gotta do one or the other - preferably both

Interesting off season for Carolina

Interesting off season for Carolina
The defense finally pulled together and held NO to 12 points

If I had known only that piece of info prior to the game I'd have put all my savings on Carolina winning

but something's got to give with that offense and Im thinking its both Cam AND Rivera

So it's real simple now for the Birds.

Gotta beat Skins and either have Vikings lose next week or Seahawks lose both remaining games.

I put the Eagles' playoff chances at about 25%.

Picked up club seats for me and my Eagles fan son for next week after today's Eagle win. Xmas gift. Should be another green-out at FedEx.

Eagles game has been flexed to 4:25 next Sunday.

Gonna be a wild atmosphere at FedEx for my son and me. Under the lights, probably 50%+ Eagles fans, all watching the scoreboard in addition to the game. Go, da Bears! They can still get a bye, so I expect them not to lay down.

ESPN has the Eagles playoff chances at 26.7%, but we'll be hoping for the best.

Also 3+. If Wentz suits up, I'd give it 26+ chance.

Eagles and Vikings both open as 7 point favorites in Week 17.

Looking at that Bears-Vikes game, the Bears are technically playing for a bye, but they know the Rams aren't losing to the 49ers at home. So then they have to ask themselves, do we want to host the Vikings or Eagles?

I figure the Bears will give it their all for a half, check the Rams score, and if they're in control, the Bears will put it on cruise in the second half. I think they'd much rather rope-a-dope the Vikings next Sunday and then take them back to Chicago for the knockout than face an Eagles team that would be on a hot streak.

I hope I'm wrong. Maybe Nagy doesn't think that way.

The Chiefs will lose their first playoff game again. Book it.
