Parlay bets sucked.

93, I’ll see you in Harrington on Tuesday night. Bring lots of cash.

Not only did parlay suck, but if you bet at convenience stores instead of one of the three sport books, you were playing a card printed early Tuesday morning (even if playing it on Sunday morning) and the payouts were weaker because they had to build in five days of injury uncertainty on the early print cards. The sportbook at least had up to the minute spreads and the payouts were equal to a Vegas parlay.

By the way, like every other potentially irresponsible thing, this is going to wreck a lot of families in Slower D.

The track record in my lifetime:

1985ish - crack
1995ish - slots (for some reason, senior citizens in droves at Harrington were willing to blow the whole family fortune - lot of millionaires turned into WalMart greeters right quick)
2000ish - crystal meth
2010ish - heroin (still killing people daily)
2018ish - bet on any single sport event 24/7

Anyone know how it is set up in Delaware? Is it on-site betting only? Do they have an online platform, or are online platforms even allowed?

Online not available at this time, so you have to go to one of the 3 casinos in Delaware to bet. Jersey should be up & running by the weekend.

Where’s the part about “I can’t wait to get the fuck out of this tax-ridden, disgusting hell hole and move to nice places and try to drag those poor people down to my level?”

If NJ is so goddamn wonderful - then why are so many of them down here at the beach?

Let's face it - nobody retires and moves North. :fuel: :stir:

Deadspin hits all three Delaware sports books on the first day. Some love for my rural-lite hood (15 minutes west of it anyway). That train track fucks everybody, by the way, especially when you're cutting it close on time:
Harrington’s sports book was, in some ways, my favorite of the three. It was in the middle of nowhere. It was surrounded by empty fields and barns where they hold livestock auctions. It was even hard to find; I ended up stuck for a few minutes waiting for a train at one point.
