As for Bennett, time will tell about this. Odd that they only have one witness and no video, despite supposedly saying that he forced his way through multiple security folks, including the elderly parapalegic security guard. You don't detain or arrest the guy on the spot at the point of the crime, and from the video he was just hanging out on the field with more than enough time to do interviews, so it's not like you didn't know where he was. And then you don't do anything about it for about a year after it happens. I don't doubt that it's possible that this happened, but I also throw some blame on law enforcement for being so lax in pursuing this that they come off as disingenuous now that they are pursuing charges.

Or something like that..I need a translation, because I have no idea what that means. So if its not ebonics, what is it?

You reminded me of a saying we used back in less politically correct times when somebody did something nice or generous: “That’s mighty white of you!”

I may or may not still use that in certain settings.

JFC. We picked up some real winners this offseason. :ohno:
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested Sunday morning after he was allegedly found passed out inside a vehicle blocking a highway, according to NFL Network.

The Eagles confirmed Worley's arrest and said they were "in the process of gathering more information."

According to NFL Network, Worley was tased during the 6 a.m. arrest after he allegedly became combative toward police. A gun was also found at the scene, according to the report, which added that the incident occurred near the Eagles' team facility.

Eagles wasted no time:
The Eagles have released cornerback Daryl Worley, who was arrested early Sunday morning after being found passed out and in possession of a gun in a car on Broad Street, near the team’s South Philly practice facility. A source close to the situation confirmed an NFL Network report, which said Worley became combative with police, and police used a taser to subdue Worley.

The NFC East is such a Rolling Train Wreck right now the Eagles should be just fine...
The object is to make the playoffs and see who's left standing

They look to be in great shape to get there
based on half their games being against The Giants Redskins and Cowboys

Schedule starting to take some shape:

Most interesting it's the Falcons. not the Vikings at the Linc for the Thursday night opener. Viking fans must've whined loud enough not to have to play another night game in S Philly.

Week 1 - Falcons
Week 2 @ Tampa
Week 5 - Vikings
Week 6 @NYG (Thursday)
Week 8 - Jax in London
Week 9 - Bye week
Week 11 - @ Saints
Week 12 - NYG
Week 17 - Redskins

Wentz could miss the first five games and still be back for every division game. I really like getting the bye at the midpoint, after the London trip, and before the Cowboys. Nice. End of the schedule is a bit rough with three of four on the road. Three national games to start December. Still, this schedule doesn't frighten me.

I'll go 12-4 with my early prediction.

I really need to hit either the NO or LA game with the green legion.

Four weeks apart at least. Looking at past schedules, the Eagles played the Cowboys in the 2014 regular season just 17 days apart (Nov 27 and Dec 14).

It would be nice if the NFL could ensure somehow that you meet each division foe in the first half and the second half of the season and separated by, say, six weeks. That would minimize the loss of a key player or a combination of players.

Agreed,
There are a few sneaky tough games in there and a few roll-overs
I'd be surprised if the Eagles don't win 12

That Texans game at the end there is a trap...
The week prior the Eagles play the Sunday LATE game in Los Angeles - so they lose Monday entirely
and will have played a tough RAMs team in a big game with playoff contentions etc.

It's a trap game I tell you against Texas
Short prep time and let down after HUGE playoff style game on the road
Those last three games might be tough headed into the playoffs looking for seeding

I wouldn't be betting on the Texans - that will be the second week in a row that they need to come east (they play the Jets the week before - not sure if they are staying somewhere rather than going back to Texas), the Texans themselves have a huge game the following week at Jacksonville, and they can't be looking forward to playing the Eagles in Philly where the Eagles have been pretty good as of late. And besides, the Texans never seem to be healthy and playing good ball late in the year.

I was just pointing out that might be the one game that could sneak up on the Eagles
If Deshaun Watson and his 103 QBR is still in the line-up...

If not - no worries

New contract (restructured) for Foles. $2 million signing bonus (he was due to make $4M) plus incentives for play time while Wentz is out. Also a mutual option for an an additional year in 2019.

Any doubts that Howie is a genius have disappeared now. For a team that was well over the cap coming into free agency to now have added Michael Bennett, Haloti Ngata, and Mike Wallace, picked up Daryl Warley in a trade, and resigned Nigel Bradham is just fantastic. Better on the defensive line than last year, better in the defensive backfield than last year (Sidney Jones now healthy), better at WR than last year (Wallace > Smith). Make sure we have the depth needed at TE and the Eagles are in pretty good shape.
They should draft that giant TE from SDSU. We could have a Dakota connection for TDs.

It would be weird having an Eagle named Dallas though.

Kid's a stud. The offense is loaded right now for the Birds. Both lines looked good already last night. Get Carson healthy, and if that means letting Foles start a couple of games that's fine, and then full steam ahead. :thumb:
