All checked in at Penns Landing for the Super Bowl victory parade tomorrow. Dad and youngest son (Eagles fans) are here with me. Oldest son (Ravens fan) chose to go to school :ohno: .

Found out my sister is staying about five blocks away, so we're all meeting up at 9am and walking to Broad St.

There's a buzz about the place already tonight. Tomorrow will just be nutty. Listening to WIP on the drive up, fans called inbound from Virginia and Connecticut. They're swarming.

PS. We (men) each brought our own porta-potty: an empty large Gatorade bottle. They said it's logistically impossible to put enough porta-potties on the entire parade route.

I get that you have long ties to his voice and calls, but let's pump the brakes here. That video is proof of how poorly he paints the picture on the live calls for his radio audience.
Kickoff returner fields kick and begins running and gets pushed out of bounds. No mention if he went left or right.
Field goal attempt. No mention of where ball is spotted relative to the hash marks.
No mention of Burton receiving the pitch from Clement and throwing the TD pass from Foles....

Yeah I read in the local Delaware County paper that only 850 port o potties. If
1 million people that = 1 abou every 1200 people.
2 million people that = 1 about every 2350 people.
3 million that = 1 about every 3500 people.
They literally need about 10x that many port o potties. People are going to be pissing everywhere. If you have to drop a deuce you’re gonna be screwed.

With no parking allowed around the stadiums and mass transit clearly not equipped to handle that many people it sounds like it’s gonna be a nightmare for some folks. I wonder if that will keep some away, esp those that aren’t super diehards.

Here’s an interesting read on crowd sizes and how some have been grossly exxagerrated in the past (ex 2016 Cubs reported 5 million was more like 1 million, Pope’s 800k was more like 145k)..

The Eagles parade will certainly dwarf the Pope’s and the Phillies parades..Could be one of the biggest in US history..

Caught morning news in the hotel. The Art Museum area was already filling at 6am. They showed multiple thousands of people lined up at one of the SEPTA regional stations in Landsdale (25 miles away) and basically said they’re not going to all be able to get on a train.

Center City is teeming with green-clad people. We’re heading over to Broad now, an hour earlier than we planned.

93henfan Clan is set up with prime viewing spot at Broad and Pine. Complete insanity. Footballs being tossed back and forth across the barricades on each side. No titties spotted yet but it’s early!

But I thought it was a known fact that the Cheatriots actually did this? :suspicious:
You may recall that back in 2008, the Boston Herald published a report accusing the Patriots of filming the Rams’ walkthrough the day before the Super Bowl in 2002. The writer later retracted his report and apologized, but that hasn’t stopped Rams players from continuing to bring up the allegations.

There was only one way out for Mike Lombardi, and luckily he chose the right door  :

Lombardi will join the morning show on WIP at 9am. Should be a nice crow-eating session: http://player.radio.com/listen/station/ ... n2ivIJG3q0

I was a block down from you. I slept over at my brother-in-laws office at 16th and Locust, so I got over to Broad St at about 7:40AM or so. I wanted a spot right up against one of the barricades so I staked out Spruce St. because they hadn't closed it to cross traffic yet. Within 5 minutes of me getting there they did start to roll out the barricades and close off that street so I just stepped right up and me and my 3 boys had a front row spot. Granted, we had to wait 5 hours for the parade to get to us, but it was worth it. My little guy got one of those footballs and kept it as a keepsake. We lucked out because we were on the west side of Broad St and they shifted over to our side before they got to us. Great view of the Lombardi trophy and even got to high five Jalen Mills (aka the Green Goblin) when he went by. We looked back behind us just before the parade got there and since we were literally on Spruce the line of people behind us was endless - figure it was at least 70-80 people deep when the parade went by.

We left after the parade went by so I ultimately heard Kelce's speech in the car. Best line for me, besides the song at the end, was his line about Lane Johnson not able to lay off the juice. When I finally watched it that line and the line where he called out Mike Lombardi by name were the two lines that got the other players and coaches on the stage laughing the most.

Just a fabulous day - Philly is a phenomenal sports town and that parade was fantastic. Go Birds.
