Honestly I have no idea on this game
I have no clue what to expect - I have a ton of respect for both coaching staffs
and these teams will both be well prepared for each other on both sides of the ball

This is really Super Coaching Bowl unlike I've seen in years...
In my opinion this is the two best coaching staffs in the NFL on both sides of the ball

You understand how the lines are set... Right
It based on bets being placed

Tell me you understand that

I voted for NE, but I think the Eagles win (now that I typed that not really sure why I voted for NE, maybe because of last year that has zero bearing on this year). NE isn't as potent as they usually are on offense, and I think the Eagle D just rapes Brady all game long.

Good SB matchup though, hoping the commercials don't suck as bad as they have the last few years.

Eagles defense is nowhere near what Brady faced against the Jags. Eagles have nobody that can cover Gronk.

If the Patriots can spread out and disect the best defense in the NFL they will dismember the Eagles D.

If both teams play clean and no turnovers

Pats 31
Eagles 17

Unless Tom Brady is struck down and is absolutely unable to play, the Patriots will get their 6th ring.

The Patriots by 14 pts.

I love it - keep picking the Patriots, much less a blowout. I don't know how the Eagles can compete!!

If the Eagles defensive game plan is anything other than "hit-anything-that-moves-smack-in-the-kisser-fuck-the-score" then they're gtd to lose bigly. If the Ravens have shown the football world anything from past championship games, it's that Brady can be rendered ineffective if you keep hitting him. Zone blitz the DEs back into coverage and kabong Amendola and the RBs on their crossing/rub routes. Love-tap Gronk's noggin. The refs are going to throw the flags anyway, so may as well make 'em count...

The line is set by dollars...
So if one guy bets $100,000. on the patriots to win
and 999 people bet $1,000 on the eagle the spread goes up for the Patriots
Even though 998 more people think the Eagle will win

You get this right..?
It's dollars that set the line not actual odds in the real world

Let me give you an example
When the Ravens and the 49's played in the Super Bowl the 49rs were favored
even though more actual bets were placed on the Ravens to win

The money was still slanted (dollars) so the line went towards the 49's

Ponder that for a moment
Big dollar wagers move the line more than popular opinion...

Yeah, neither BillK nor I know anything about betting lines. Thanks, Seattle guy, for clearing it all up for us.

Btw, what does “juice” mean? I keep hearing all the knowledgeable PNW people talking about it, but I have no idea what they mean.

The Jags supposedly had the best pass defense in the NFL, not the best defense. That honor went to the Vikings, you know, the team the Eagles just toasted with a backup QB.

Both teams have two weeks to scheme each other...

Belichick, Patricia and McDaniels are proven to be the best in-game schemers in football...

And since Patricia and McDaniels will be getting head coaching jobs after the Super Bowl, they have a special motivation to produce their very best...

Pats by 4...

Angry? Flyers back in a playoff spot, Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl and Dems admitted their mistake and are recapitulating on their obstructionist ways. It's been a great 24 hours. :thumb:
