Re: 2017 Wentzadelphia Eagles Thread
Ratings wise, who would watch a Vikings vs Jaguars Super Bowl?
Re: 2017 Wentzadelphia Eagles Thread
https://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphi ... ncial.htmlA new report tracking ticket sales says the Philadelphia Eagles matchup against the Minnesota Vikings are the most expensive seats for the final stop before the Super Bowl since at least 2009.
While a few more seats will be up for sale starting Tuesday, according to TicketMaster, the Morning Call says tickets already on the secondary market are approaching the $1,000 mark – a big jump from original prices that start around $135 for standing room.
I’m giving T-Master a shot at 10am when they sell the leftovers, though it almost never works out. Goal is to buy four, scalp two to recoup the cost, and go with my youngest son, who has a good head on his shoulders and is an Eagles fan.

Haha, you realize that "ticket sale" is less than 2,000 seats & half are singles. That's why they go so quick. They were all gone int he first 60-90 seconds.

Not exactly sure what Jeffrey Lurie is attempting here, but if it makes the players want to keep playing here, keep doing it!

Use Chrome incognito mode and you can surf the pay sites (DE Online, Philly, WSJ, WaPo, etc) all day. That's what I do.Ivytalk wrote:I call BS. Only one free article and I hit a paywall? SMMFH.93henfan wrote:Eagles beat writer predictions for NFCCG:

I really feel like the Vikings are the perfect opponent for the Eagles...93henfan wrote:Eagles beat writer predictions for NFCCG:

and I trust the Eagles coaching staff to develop a game plan more than I do the Vikings
The Vikings coaching staff is all:
"we do what we do and bend teams to our will"
They basically play every game the exact same way - which has worked because they are talented
But... They "lost" that game to the Saints because of that mentality
The Saints adapted and came back strong (then the miracle birth happened)
I think Philly wins this because of coaching in the 4th quarter
The Vikings are going to do the same thing over and over for 4 quarters

The other thing is, one of these QBs is due to shit down his leg. I think the Eagles (as you mentioned) have developed a gameplan to minimize this with Foles. Keenum is more ripe to come out with the Hershey squirts. Darby is overdue for a pick six.Chizzang wrote:I really feel like the Vikings are the perfect opponent for the Eagles...93henfan wrote:Eagles beat writer predictions for NFCCG:

a) Falcons in the last Super Bowl
in field goal range with an 8 point lead and throwing a 15 yd out on 3rd down, because that's what they do
(Mind-numbingly stupid)
b) The Bronco's in their blowout loss to the Seahawks in the Super Bowl...
They loudly announced they were the worlds greatest offense and would "do what they do"
The Bronco's LITERALLY ran the exact same plays they ran the game before against the Patriots
c) The Seahawks (in general)
They have made ZERO adjustments to their game plan and team in 6 consecutive seasons
and that sh!t catches up to you in a BIG WAY

Private mode on the iPhone works as well - philly.com went to the pay model just recently and it's prohibitively expensive - I'd be fine with spending something to get it but I can't justify what they'd charge for just online access. I'm cheap like that.Ivytalk wrote:Thanks, 93!93henfan wrote:

Linc lots were ungated at 9am, with long lines waiting to get in for tailgates. Nine and a half hours of drinking.

PS. Darby didn't get the pick, but MAN, what a block he threw to spring the TD.

Well, the consensus here before the season was 9-7, with Wentz.
House money is what the Eagles have been playing with for two months now.
Go punch Brady in the mouth, underdogs.

I heard a great point on talk radio this morning on the way in - thank goodness that Chip Kelly didn't go to those Christmas parties. That's what has us here today.93henfan wrote:Two years and 23 days ago:

Re: 2017 Wentzadelphia Eagles Thread
So what if Foles wins the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP? I'd like to think Philly would have a QB controversy on their hands. But I know what will happen. The Skins will pay him huge money and let Cousins go to Denver. Foles will go back to mediocrity and the Skins will have buttfucked themselves once again.

We’d like a second and third rounder for him, thank you very much.andy7171 wrote:So what if Foles wins the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP?
