No doubt. Love to see an FCS player do well when it doesn’t impact my team.dal4018 wrote:Kupp caught a 14 yds td pass he had a productive rookie season.93henfan wrote:

Panthers are trading field goals for TD's with New Orleans. Not a good formula for making the next round.

Divisional round:
Falcons @ Eagles
Titans @ Patriots
Jaguars @ Steelers
Saints @ Vikings
Falcons, Cheatriots, Jags, Vikings win, I think.

Nice to see that player safety & concussion protocol is followed all season - until the playoffs, when a star player needs to get checked out in the 4th quarter & they blow it off. Cam Newton couldn't even make it off the field & he misses one play.....

Savage took a hit that caused him to convulse on the field, with the ref standing over him, a few weeks back and got back into the game.

Re: 2017 NFL Season Thread
I'm leading our playoff shares pool at 1600 shares (that's a low number and last week must have been a blood bath). Everyone starts with 1000 shares and you can bet as many shares as you want on any team against the odds, over/under, or money line. You can wager any game right up until kickoff.
There is one player at 1400 shares, another at 1200, 8 at 1000 shares and a bunch more under 1000. There were 6 people that lost all 1000 shares the first weekend.
Last week I won Buffalo and the points, the under on Buffalo for 200 each, the over on the Saints for 400 and lost 200 on the Saints. I waited until I won the first two and then parlayed that into the over win on the Saints.
There will be people that bet the first games heavy and if they win keep betting heavy either building a lead or losing it all.
You don't get to see their picks until the game has started.
The only bets I like this week are Pitt -7.5 and under 40.5. It would be nice to to wager a big chunk, build a lead, and run away and hide. Or if someone gets hot they could finish the weekend up 4000 shares and if I don't bet big or lose could be way behind.
It's a cool strategic pool that way.
Any suggestions from the expert degenerate gamblers of cs.com would be appreciated.

So you're betting the UNDER in the Jags/Steelers
Which seems like a good idea
and you think the Steelers will cover the spread
Pro tip: Usually an under bet includes the favorite NOT covering the spread
Consider an over bet in the Vikings/ Saints
Because EVERYBODY will bet the under and the Vikings are favored
So....
In order for the Vikings to beat the saints they're need to score 28 points
That puts the points total in the mid 50's

Rivera fired offensive coordinator Mike Shula and quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey yesterday.
In other news - there's growing talk of building a new stadium for the Panthers. One of the most likely sites (if it were to occur) is 6 miles from house near the SC/NC border.

Can't fill the stadium you currently play in? Why not spend a billion dollars on a new one!Ibanez wrote:http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2201 ... r-qb-coach

Re: 2017 NFL Season Thread
AVG attendance each year(since 2011) has been between 72k-75k. The stadiums capacity in that time has been 73-75k. I'd say that's pretty damn good. The soccer teams that play there also draw huge crowds - as do the college football games.Grizalltheway wrote:Can't fill the stadium you currently play in?
