How awesome would it be to cut another hopeful Capitals season short?
I keep warning my friends down here. Flyers would be the Caps worst nightmare. They better pray that either the Flyers or Pens shit the bed so they don't have to play them first round.

Pretty sure that is the Rangers job to do.

Tight race for the 8th spot. The Red Wings have a three point lead, but the Flyers have played two fewer games. The teams play one more time at the Joe in April. Will the streak continue?

Tough loss yesterday for the Flyers. They looked like shit in the second and third periods.

And the Flyers lost their #1A goalie Neuvirth for the season with a knee injury.

If it wasn't for bad luck, Philly teams would have no luck at all. :ohno:

And then the Flyers Northern Iowa'd another point away last night - turrible as Charles Barkley would say, turrible.

Yeah but they probably didn't even deserve a point with the way they played. Mason had to make 51 saves.

Sixers should re-pursue those D'Angelo Russell trade talks, his stock will never be lower!

Tanking in style. Not only do we pretty much wrap up the chances to get either Simmons or Ingram, but we also do it while not breaking the franchise and NBA record for losses. The Lakers gave the Sixers all they could handle this year, with their own version of tanking (although you'll find no one accusing the Lakers of tanking, their version of tanking is called "playing Kobe for many more minutes than they should").

Next year the Sixers stop tanking. I can live with that.

- Hinkie resigns!!!
- The Flyers postseason hopes hinge on tonight - they can basically be a lock or a longshot at 10pm tonight.
- I'm flying to Cincinnati to audition for a Phillies relief pitcher job

I've never seen so many fumbled pucks in one game. The first two goals were somewhat fluke-ish and Mason did his best to keep them in it. Howard just stood on his head. :ohno:

Yeah with the Flyers. Problem between Philly and Boston (or Detroit) is that Boston has one more Regulation/Overtime Win (Detroit is +3 over Philly) which is the first tiebreaker so Philly likely will need to finish at least a point ahead to get the WC spot. Both Boston and Philly has 1 easy game left though Philly's easy is easier and has a game in hand over both teams.

In the end, you are right, lose this game and it is an extreme uphill battle

Flyers with a bad game last night, no scratch that, an awful game last night missed out on a much needed point. Saturday will be a crazy day, Flyers could clinch a spot & could also be eliminated. How motivated will the Penguins (at PHL) and the Rangers ( vs DET) be to play their last regular season games having already clinched?

The Penguins would be just fine with destroying the Flyers again.

Rangers will be more motivated to lose so that they can play TB and then winner of Florida/3rd Place in Atlantic rather than Pittsburgh and the Caps. They also have a number of injuries so look for interesting scratches and Raanta to start over Lundqvist (not injured but just a day off).

Isles need 1 more point in 2 games (Buffalo and Philly) than Rangers in 1 game (Detroit) to clinch 3rd place.

Figured this was as good of a space to put it so that the Delaware people could see this. You guys going to be able to field a basketball team next year? What the hell is your administration doing? 4 scholarship players and 3 walk ons with no coach in place right now hurts.

It could actually be a step up versus some of our current teams.

But yes, we are in a full downgrade athletics mode at UD - have you seen the state of the football team lately? Sports would appear to be on the way out at UD.

Yep. UD is no longer participating in competitive sports. We just said fuck it.
