It's a long article, but it's pretty good. But Leonard needed a final round of SAT scores to qualify academically. By the time the passing test score arrived two weeks after national signing day, Clemson's scholarship offer was gone. The school offered Leonard priority walk-on status instead.
He turned that down and took the only scholarship offer on the table: from South Carolina State, a much smaller FCS school.
They played a good game against the Chiefs...

I'm dead serious. I remember in 2004, the Eagles were something like 7-0 or 7-1 and the press was fawning over them. They promptly went to Pittsburgh and got their asses handed to them. It's an unpredictable, humbling league of professionals.Chizzang wrote:93henfan wrote:There's always an 8-0 or 7-1 team at the midpoint that everyone is goo goo gah gah about. Okay, will do...
BTW that NFC wild card game is going to be a hell of a game
Yup, the Patriots have won two Super Bowls that weren't tainted with them being proved as cheaters in them - the won where they beat the Seahawks (after Pete Carroll decided it was too easy to score the winning touchdown by handing it off to Marshawn) and the Falcons (where Matt Ryan and the rest of the team crapped their pants in epic style). Everything is possible once the cheating is taken off the table. Also good to see that the AFC might be getting a little competitive again - the NFC is a crap shoot, never know who's going to come out of it. AFC has been boring lately, not nearly enough depth.93henfan wrote:I'm dead serious. I remember in 2004, the Eagles were something like 7-0 or 7-1 and the press was fawning over them. Never believe the hype in the NFL. Even Brady and Belichick can be beaten by a crappy NFC East team in the Super Bowl (three times in fact), when they're not allowed to roll tape on the other team's signals.
Yep. Love the way he plays.SunCoastBlueHen wrote:Glad to see Marlon Mack from USF playing well.Grizalltheway wrote:Colts finish 11-5 and win the division, you heard it here first.

Still the best post-Super Bowl meme ever:GannonFan wrote:after Pete Carroll decided it was too easy to score the winning touchdown by handing it off to Marshawn
I think the Pats made up Deflate Gate (seriously, it looked set up - they probably gave a stop watch to the guy carrying the balls to make sure he spent enough time in the bathroom) just to take the focus away from the real cheating that happened in Spygate (they needed something else that could end in gate as well). The NFL destroyed those tapes pretty fast in Spygate once they saw what was on them.Chizzang wrote:this never gets old... still my favorite type of NFL postGannonFan wrote:

He's a game changer..!!93henfan wrote:Golden Tate traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, for 2019 3rd Rd pick.
Should be a nice complement to Jeffery. Alshon has phenomenal hands but isn't a YAC monster like Tate.Chizzang wrote:He's a game changer..!!93henfan wrote:Golden Tate traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, for 2019 3rd Rd pick.
un-coverable little dude was the best wide out on the market
