Rarely do we have runaway MVP's. Even Jordan didn't win it every year. Morant is certainly in the discussion, among others. Harden brings a lot more attention to Philly over the stretch run so we'll see where things land.
 Jokic, DeRozan, and Giannis in addition to Morant are strong contenders and would be deserving if they won.
Sixers win the top seed in the East and it's Embiid's to lose.

That should apply to DeRozan and Giannis as well.

Well, the Bulls aren't winning the East. It's been a nice story, but they have a killer schedule down the stretch and they''ll be fortunate to finish in the top 4 in the East.

Maybe not but the Sixers finished the 2021 regular season in 1st and are currently 3rd. The Bulls finished the 2021 regular season in 11th and are currently 2nd. Even if the Sixers finish 1st and the Bulls 4th, a strong argument can still be made that DeRozan has been the MVP.

We might disagree but we can all laugh at LeBron for wanting Westbrook over DeRozan.

The Bulls have feasted on the bottom teams, but don't fare very well when they play the top teams in the division. It's a great season for them and a great turnaround, but they aren't at the same level as the elite teams in the East. They won't last very long in the playoffs.

You can tell by watching the draft each year. When I was in High School, we had those fricken leisure suits, green, brown, maroon, etc, with multi-colored or flowered silk shirts underneath. Big heels and some kind of scarf with a ring to attach it. Maybe we lived in the pimp era, without the big hats with the feathers sticking out. Don't know whether to laugh or cringe when I think about it.

Well, at least the Sixers don't have to worry about being overly cocky through the rest of the year. Plenty of work to do between now and then. If they ever get too cocky, just throw on a rerun of this game.

Lol. The horror…they lost a game! He’ll be back for the playoffs. Don’t be fooled. Tell me another team that loses their starting point guard and doesn’t miss a beat?

And the warriors? The same team that’s lost 4 of their last 6?

I’ll take some of what you’re smoking.
This is regular season NBA basketball. It's nice and all, but the playoffs are and always have been different. No one is saying the Suns aren't the best team in the NBA right now, of course they are. Come playoffs, though, and the gap gets erased pretty quickly, and there are other teams with other players who have a better track record in that scenario.
Suns have now won 4/5, including 3-1 without Paul AND Booker in the lineup. 8.5 game lead in the west and 10 games clear for best record in the NBA. I think they’ll be fine. And what “track” record are you speaking of? Weren’t the Suns in the finals last year? It’s not like they’re green and starry-eyed….

That should apply to DeRozan and Giannis as well.
And Booker and Paul - you know, from the team with far and away the best record in the NBA

But a few posts ago AZ was saying how well the Suns are doing even without Booker and Paul in the lineup. So what is it, are Booker and Paul really great players their team can't live without and therefore MVP's or are the Suns as a team a really great team, even without them? :coffee:

Those of us on the west side who have seen the choke jobs James Harden has done as a player and Doc Rivers has done as a coach over the years have already seen it.
