Griz up 14 now with 4:30 left. They can't blow that, can they?

Second half 2:30 to go. Montana has scored 46 points, EWU 20. Big turn around from the first.

Up 16 under 2 minutes. It would have to be a UNI level of meltdown to lose.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Griz up 14 now with 4:30 left. They can't blow that, can they?

Griz win by 17. Montana may have played a better second half at some point, but I certainly haven't seen it in my 17 years watching them. Even the 2012 second half against Damian Lillard wasn't this dominant.

Interesting defensive decisions by DeCuire the last 2 second-halves. Instead of putting Defensive POY Oguine on the star (Spight, Bliznyuk), he put Rorie on him. It worked, whatever the reasoning.

Yep. Great D by Rorie. In the first half, Bogdan was seeing some double teams but everyone else was hitting shots. That’s tough to do for a whole game and Montana also shot the ball well.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Interesting defensive decisions by DeCuire the last 2 second-halves. Hays off to the Griz. Keep winning.

Just saw an interview with Decuire and he said the reasoning was to put more speed on the star players. I guess he feels Rorie is faster on d?Mvemjsunpx wrote:Interesting defensive decisions by DeCuire the last 2 second-halves. Could be, though I'm guessing yesterday it was mostly because it was the non-Bliznyuk players killing us in the first half.Vidav wrote:Just saw an interview with Decuire and he said the reasoning was to put more speed on the star players.
