There is men’s and women’s lacrosse. Both are lacrosse. So they are the same. Right?
The rules and fields are different in men's and women's lax, aren't they? Men's and women's college bball play with the same rules and same court AFAIK.
Only real difference is the ball smaller for women.

Well, that, and the fact the women play quarters now & have different foul/bonus rules. This year's NIT suggests the NCAA is looking make the same changes for the men, however.

Some might say they don't play with any balls.

Much like the WNBA, it's the slowest game on two feet. In the NCAA, even slower!

Crazy to think that one of Kansas State, Loyola-Chicago, Florida State, or Michigan will play for the National Championship. I actually do have Michigan in the finals (vs. Duke), so I'm hoping they get that far.

I have a Michigan/Duke finals as well, and considering how they dismantled a somewhat decent Texas A&M team last night you have to like their chances on that side of the bracket. Duke still has Kansas and likely nova ahead of them so plenty of work still to do on that side.

Haas has been cleared to play by the NCAA with a brace that Purdue engineering students came up with since he fractured his elbow last week. Would be big if he could play and play well - without him I'm not sure they win tonight, let alone against the nova/WVU winner. If he's anywhere close to normal, Purdue would be a tough out.

Women use a smaller ball, and have some different rules

Like dunking the ball, it isn't a foul, but an unwritten rule that every one seems to follow.

I'm pulling for Michigan, but won't be heartbroken if Loyola makes the final.

Dook is out.

So we’ll have Loyola vs. Michigan and Nova vs. Kansas in the Final Four. Could be an all-Catholic championship game. Sister Jean vs. Jay Wright.

In spite of my grandmother being an alum of dook...

I still despise them and I’m glad they lost

Last night was tough - I don't like Kansas or Duke but had to cheer for Duke because it helps my bracket. Made me feel dirty. :ohno:

I've never had a problem with Duke. I think it's a lot of irrational hatred really. For the most part, for the past few decades, Duke's played really good basketball. Now granted, I was never a Dean Smith fan and I didn't like North Carolina (still don't like that baby blue color they have either), so I just liked Duke because they weren't North Carolina.

Good games yesterday, but can't see how Kansas (or Duke if they had made it) could beat villanova the way they are playing right now. Just too much offense and they really play good man to man defense. Although that's the matchup of #1 seeds, I don't see that game as being much of a game. I do think, however, that either Michigan or shockingly Loyola could win this thing, even over nova. Michigan is just a scary good team playing really good basketball and Loyola couldn't be any hotter right now. That should be a really great game and I wouldn't bet against either of them winning as underdogs on the Monday.

I was too. Felt dirty, but better than Rat-face and Tripper Allen in the FF.

Michigan was damned lucky to get by Florida State. And the Blue can’t shoot fouls. I’ll go out on a limb and pick Loyola for another upset.

Good to see that punk Grayson Allen go out as a loser. He ranks right down there with Christian Laettner on the Duke likeability scale.

Does Coach K look more and more like the Duke mascot the longer he coaches?

I'd hate to see the signs the Philly fans would have for Sister Jean. :D
