I’m sure you aren’t alone, Vidav. And UMBC’s magic is gone, too.

Of the tens of millions of men’s NCAA Tournament brackets submitted online to services such as Walt Disney’s DIS, -0.36% ESPN, Verizon’s VZ, +0.56% Yahoo, CBS Sports CBS, -0.18% , Bleacher Report and Capital One COF, +1.34% , none survived the opening round intact, according to the NCAA on Sunday.

I have 3 left Purdue, Villanova, Gonzaga but Arizona got axed out early.

Purdue would have won it all but they are done since Haas broke his elbow. This whole tournament is over.....Duke always wins these after the real talent is gone.

I've got three left as well - Michigan, Duke, and Purdue. Purdue looks unlikely to keep going though - losing Haas is a bigtime injury. Got lucky with Michigan hitting that three at the buzzer.

I'd be fine with a Gonzaga/Duke final - I like both teams and would be fine with either winning.

How did you get Purdue and Villanova both in the Final Four?

Women's basketball doesn't count. You can't compare apples and oranges.
A #16 beating a #1 should be much less likely in WBB given the relative lack of parity. That lack of parity wasn't as pronounced 20 years ago as it is now, but it was still present. Anyway… the Harvard/Stanford upset was unique, primarily because Stanford lost their two best players to injury shortly before the tournament.

I almost won the ESPN women's bracket one year just picking the top seeds the whole way through. VERY few upsets.

Yes i agree. Womens basketball is a different sport. It's like the thing with considering the UCONN womens' basketball team having "broken" the record for the longest streak set by the UCLA mens team. It's not the same sport.

FCS!?! We're talking about basketball, men's not womens. And the whole reason for the change from I-AA to FBS/FCS is because of mid-major basketball not wanting the difference, it's all I-A for basketball.

Basketball = Basketball. It's the same sport differentiated by gender. No reason to get upset with calling UMBC/UVA or Stanford/Harvard the first 16/1 upset.

There is men’s and women’s lacrosse. Both are lacrosse. So they are the same. Right?

The rules and fields are different in men's and women's lax, aren't they? Men's and women's college bball play with the same rules and same court AFAIK.
