The fact PSU looked really uncomfortable against Duke's zone was the bigger concern.JALMOND wrote:Did anyone really think ESPN and their refs would allow Portland State to beat the #1 team in the land?Mvemjsunpx wrote:DUKE 99-81 PSU*; Deontae North had 20 in the first half, but he & four other Viks fouled out in the second

Re: Thanksgiving Scores
Duke is not primarily a zone team, so when trying to figure out how to stop them from doing what they do best (a whole lot of things as compared to PSU), trying to gameplay for their zone is asking a bunch. Coach K didn't even know how to teach zone until the guru himself, Boeheim, gave him some pointers with the national team a few years back.Mvemjsunpx wrote:The fact PSU looked really uncomfortable against Duke's zone was the bigger concern.JALMOND wrote:

Hornets squandered a 12 point 2nd half lead in a game that they out-hustled St Joes in for almost all of.

Really not shocked. Stanford lost to EWU earlier this year. They are now 0-2 against the Big Sky with a game against Montana on Wednesday. Viks really thought they could win.Mvemjsunpx wrote:STAN 78-87 PSU*; The Viks win turnovers 28-10

And yet, somehow, the Grizzlies will find a way to lose to one of these teams this year. Book it.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Think positive: NAU is worse.SDHornet wrote:Hornets looking awful. We have no one besides Strings worth a damn on the offensive side.

Pretty good numbers for North in the loaded PK80. Had he kept his head together in the Duke game, who knows what might have happened. The first half, it didn't look like Duke had an answer for him. The second half, they reminded him who it was he was going up against.

They're waiting to fire the coach, so they can go on a tear to get him rehired. It worked for the football team.Mvemjsunpx wrote:JFC, NAU, you're trailing 1-5 Santa Clara 30-7!?
