Not a good showing of FCS brass in the Dance this year.

FCS TEAMS IN THE BIG DANCE:

Harvard - 12 vs. Vanderbilt  Not a good chance of an upset. Vandy has a dangerous 7-footer.
South Dakota State - 14 vs. Baylor ditto
Lehigh - 15 vs. Duke :( Can get routed easily.
Davidson - 13 vs. Louisville :(
Murray State - 6 vs. Colorado State
Norfolk State - 15 vs. Missouri :(

Play-in:
Lamar vs. Vermont for 16 and vs. Tarholes. Good luck to them.

Norfolk State has zero shot. Missouri will run them out of the gym.

Which one do you see as possible upsets? As I said before I think Norfolk could pull a upset if so the MEAC will continue its reputation as a Giant Killer as a 15th seed preceded by Coppin St('97)&Hampton('01).I remember your school in '05 tournament as a 16TH seed playing Duke and holding JJ Redick to 12 pts for the whole game.

Harvard
Davidson
Norfolk State

Also, it was 7 points for Redick actually...buy don't remind me about that game, I was there.

If it wasn't for a 12 minute stretch where we could only score 2 points and couldn't buy a bucket or a foul call...maybe the outcome could have been different.

I honestly think Montana has a chance again Wisconsin. Not saying its likely, after watching our defense the past few games, I think they could make a game of this...

Wisconsin is a terrible match up for a team like Montana. I hope you're right, but I think Wisconsin will be in control most of the game. It won't be a blowout because of UWs style, but I would be surprised if the game is in doubt for them in the second half.

The Badgers will go home early: I’m picking Montana over Wisconsin in the 13/4 matchup in the East Region. Wisconsin’s offense has stalled multiple times in recent weeks. Even though the Badgers are capable of neutralizing any offense, they’ve had problems capitalizing due to their own inconsistent offense. Montana will be ready. The Grizzlies beat their Big Sky rivals Weber state by 19 points in the conference’s tournament title game, their 14th consecutive victory. Plus, Will Cherry (16.0 ppg) can match Jordan Taylor. Grizzlies will advance.

The Griz would be much better off in a game where the other team was up-tempo.

This is clearly done on stats, rather than an actual analysis. The Griz weren't playing a Big 10 team when they won by 19. Wisconsin is a hard nosed, grind it out, team. I think the game will be close, but I don't see a Griz win. I would be surprised if either team breaks 60.

If Harvard upsets Vandy (Fran Fraschilla thinks the Crimson will lose a close one) and Montana beats Wisconsin, guess what?

That game was some of the worst basketball I've ever watched. I don't think I've ever seen two DI teams look that inept in the half court.
