Troy Taylor is a finalist, as is MT State's Brent Vigen. As a homer, I'd like to see Taylor get it, but also worthy is St. Thomas' Glenn Caruso for his team's performance in only their second season out of D-III. But there will be great pressure for the award to go to His Neonness, also a finalist.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
