    Most Surprising Result: Eastern Kentucky 59, (FBS) Bowling Green 57 (7OT) - This was the second-most overtimes in any game involving a I-AA/FCS team (Bethune-Cookman beat Virginia State in 8 full overtimes back in 1998—thanks to Craig Haley for that fact).

    Most Surprising Result: (#13) Holy Cross 37, (FBS) Buffalo 31 - Matthew Sluka, known for being more of a running threat than a passing threat, has more 200-yard passing games this season (2) than he did all of last season (1).

    Most Surprising Result: Gardner-Webb 27, (FBS) Coastal Carolina 31 - It seems like Gardner-Webb has an eye-opening performance like this in September every year, but the past ones have never ultimately led anywhere. Will this season's aftermath be different?
