Southland/McNeese fan take:

I can't believe that Nicholls State gets San Diego. All the years McNeese State went without a playoff win and they NEVER got that kind of draw. Unbelievable.

The Incarnate Word at Montana State game is interesting. I do think Incarnate Word has a really good offense. We'll see how it does outside of the Southland. Another interesting thing is that Incarnate Word's football web site still has Iowa State on its schedule the following week. So I guess if they win that'll be canceled but if they lose they'll still have another game to play. I think that's a first.

It makes it the case that the school will be WAY better off financially if they lose their opening playoff game.

The most interesting thing about Lamar at UNI is that Lamar has something similar to what UNI has at quarterback. The guy is a bowling ball. 5'11" 221 pounds. Runs the ball well and runs like a fullback. Very hard to tackle. Also has a big arm that creates big play capability on broken plays.
