The worst performance for the Big Sky should be Montana, giving up almost 400 hundred yards in the air to a 0-2 team. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

I guess that's what we get for having a Montana guy do this.

We would ask you to do it, but I'm not sure the group home's computer lab could allot you enough time to form that many coherent sentences.

Thanks! :thumb:

And I'm pretty sure getting blown out by one of the worst teams in the MVFC is worse than a close loss to one of last year's playoff teams.

I for one look forward to mvem's columns and comments each week. He has shown to be unjudgemental and unbiased towards any Big Sky team, including Montana. Bad or good, he tells it like it is. I've come to rely on most of his insight more so than most FCS "reporters" out there.

Patriot League

LEH 21-51 NAVY
MONM 24-20 LAF
BUCK 17-34 PENN
SBU 28-6 FORD
YALE 28-31 HC (OT)
GTOWN 0-41 DART

    NConf Record: 1-5
    Overall: 4-14

    vs. FCS: 1-4
    Overall: 4-11

Best Performance: Holy Cross 31, Yale 28 (OT) - The Crusaders come back from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to upset the Ivy League favorites.

Worst Performance: Georgetown 0, Dartmouth 41 - Hoyas lose yardage 453-112 and lose first downs 21-3.

Most Surprising Result: Holy Cross 31, Yale 28 (OT) - Holy Cross beats Yale for just the 5th. time in 33 tries and for just the 2nd. time in the last 35 years.

NEC

RICH 35-27 SFPA
DAY 26-31 DUQ
RMU 7-73 JMU
WAG 24-47 MTST
MARIST 27-37 BRY
COLUM 41-24 CCSU

    NConf Record: 2-4
    Overall: 11-10

    vs. FCS: 2-4
    Overall: 6-7

Best Performance: Duquesne 31, Dayton 26 - Nehari Crawford catches 11 balls for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns to help the Dukes avoid the upset.

Worst Performance: Robert Morris 7, (#2) James Madison 73 - Three Colonial quarterbacks combine for just 73 passing yards in an ugly massacre.

Most Surprising Result: Central Connecticut St. 24, Columbia 41 - It's not a good sign for the NEC's hopes of winning a playoff game if their (supposed) best team is falling this hard to a (supposedly) middling Ivy squad.

CAA

TOW 45-35 NOVA
MORG 27-30 ALB
SBU 28-6 FORD
UNH 14-45 CU
URI 49-56 UCONN
COR 10-27 UD
RICH 35-27 SFPA
RMU 7-73 JMU

    NConf Record: 5-2
    Overall: 15-10

    vs. FCS: 5-0
    Overall: 13-1

Best Performance: Towson 45, (#10) Villanova 35 - Tom Flacco & the Tigers put up 528 yards on a good Villanova defense.

Worst Performance: (#10) Villanova 35, Towson 45 - The Wildcats fall flat in their attempt to "avenge" Zach Bednarczyk's injury.

Most Surprising Result: (#10) Villanova 35, Towson 45 - Bednarczyk seems to be a bit more of a pocket passer this year; he's throwing for 286 ypg, but has negative rushing yardage.

Big South

MONM 24-20 LAF
WCU 28-10 GWEBB
CCU 58-21 CAMP
ALST 13-62 KENN

    NConf Record: 2-2
    Overall: 7-7

    vs. FCS: 2-1
    Overall: 5-3

Best Performance: (#7) Kennesaw St. 62, Alabama St. 13 - The Owls have a vastly easier time with the Hornets at home than they did last year in Montgomery.

Worst Performance: Gardner-Webb 10, Western Carolina 28 - Bulldogs lose their 12th. consecutive DI game.

Most Surprising Result: Monmouth 24, Lafayette 20 - The Hawks score only 24 points despite putting up 528 yards and committing 0 turnovers.

SoCon

ETSU 27-24 VMI
WCU 28-10 GWEBB
WOFF 14-17 WYO
MER 30-24 SAM
UTC 34-24 UTM

    NConf Record: 2-1
    Overall: 7-7

    vs. FCS: 2-0
    Overall: 4-1

Best Performance: Mercer 30, (#9) Samford 24 - The Bears finally finish the job against a good team. Can they build on this and finish with a non-middling record?

Worst Performance: VMI 24, East Tennessee St. 27 - A closer loss than expected, but it's still #20 in a row for the Keydets.

Most Surprising Result: (#9) Samford 24, Mercer 30 - It seems the Bulldogs have one of these inexplicable losses each year (Chattanooga last year, ETSU in '16).

Most Surprising Result: Morgan St. 27, Albany 30 - The Bears can't quite pull the upset despite winning yardage & forcing 5 turnovers.

When they get their sea legs I think the Lions will be a power and they will meet the Bison for the title game.
