I don't think it was a bad play call. Just didn't work out because one Sam Houston State guy made a good play and disrupted it.

We''ll see how Sam Houston State does next week. They've played North Dakota State three times in the playoffs after running up big offensive numbers in previous games and scored 6, 13, and 3 points against the Bison.

End around on 4th and 5 was stupid. Should have went with what has worked all 4th quarter...lead option around the end.

They better bone up on their run defense against NDSU after allowing Shaquille Terry from KSU 120 yds on just 5 carries a POULTRY 24.0 yds a pop!!!!!

Well, there's an argument for that but I think Sam Houston State was probably looking for either that or a play action pass. My quibble with what they did was running the fullback dive twice because that hadn't been working all that well. But my understanding is that in an offense like that it's not a play call. It's the quarterback making that read on the fly.

I think the reverse action was unexpected and one of those plays where if it works the coach is brilliant. For some reason one Sam Houston guy penetrated straight up field and forced the play deep so the rest of the Sam Houston defense could react. Whoever that Sam Houston State guy is just made a really good play. At least that's how I remember it.

Real contrast next week. North Dakota State is 1st in FCS total defense and 2nd in FCS scoring defense. Sam Houston State is 107th and 90th.

Flag football offense and no defense vs. physical old school offense and dominant defense next week. Should be interesting.
