2R - San Diego @ (2) NDSU

Post by Mvemjsunpx »

This rematch from last season is again the Rocky vs. Apollo battle of the second round. San Diego's expert dismantling of NAU, plus the fact they already played in the Fargo Dome last year, suggests they won't get waxed this time. I'm not saying it'll be close, of course, but it won't be quite as bad.

Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:

      • Quarterbacks -- North Dakota St.

Running Backs - North Dakota St.

        Receivers/TEs - San Diego

Offensive Line - North Dakota St.

Defensive Line - North Dakota St.

        Linebackers --- North Dakota St.

        Secondary ---- North Dakota St.

        Kicking ------ (push)

        Punting ------ (push)

        Return Teams - San Diego

        Kickoffs ------ North Dakota St.

        • San Diego 14-34 North Dakota St.

Game could be even closer than we think.

San Diego was better this year, but so was the Bison defense with DeLuca and Tanguay returning from last season's Injuries, and MVFC FR and newcomer of the year Cox. Still missing pass rusher Greg Menard.
