Weber back up 10, 31-21. After scoring the first 24 points Weber has been outscored 21-7.

Gotta play some defense.

(takes a deep breath). Whoo, that was an ugly one. Sure didn't look like the Weber team that played Cal the week previous. Gotta give credit to Sac though, they played some solid defense. If their Quarterback was a little but more accurate the Hornets WOULD have won that game.

This game shouldn't have been this close considering this is how the first quarter went:
WSU opened with a nice 7 minute TD drive. Get a 2 pt conversion on a trick formation.
Sac goes 3 and out, punt blocked (Hornets had a punt blocked last week too) returned for a TD. Another 2 pt conversion with the same formation.
A few nothing possessions by both teams and then WSU adds on another TD and 2 point conversion at the end of the 1st quarter.

Our special teams cost us 12 points (I count the 2 point conversions here too).

I thought WSU went more conservative the rest of the way (I only saw the 1st half) and kept this game closer than it should have been.

Hornet D really got it together though so they deserve some credit. Our offense didn't do much all game long.

Saw a lot of this game. PSU has no QB but hung around this game until the 2nd half (this should have been over at half time). dungpilers look better from a year ago, their up tempo offense and shifty QB certainly helps.

FBS scalp we neglected to mention…

NC A&T beat Charlotte 35-31. Second straight year with an FBS win for the Aggies, and the second FBS win for the MEAC this season.

Congrats to ODU for playing a full 60 minutes in their 55-23 loss to UNC. Despite being down 39-7 at the half they didn't insist on shortening the game to 55 min.
