JMU/ECU lined was removed by 5dimes about a month ago after it went from JMU -3.5 to -5.5. Yet all other I-A/I-AA lines still up, JMU/ECU still not back up. People on JMU board are like WTF? :?

I like MSU as well. The cats hung with a good Idaho team last year, and you'd like to think Murray has made some strides. The cats also have a couple of playmakers on defense.

You'd think after losing two in a row to the Big Sky that Leach would have them up for this one, but he's so damn weird and I don't think he works that way.
MSU should be favored in this game...It is Pre-season, so we should be ranked #1 in everything!!!

Leach is so strange he could be intentionally losing to the Big Sky as a way to show his team that they are not as good as they may think they are. Given the success they've had after losing those games, that could very well be true.

Not sure how reputable this website is, but it has Tech only favored by a point...

IIRC that's higher than the WSU game last year. Must be the Baldwin effect. TTU has a terrible defense and a new starter at QB. They should win but that's still an interesting line

17 is exactly where Ive been predicting for 3 months. 59-42.

This sucks for JMU:
http://www.espn.com/espn/wire?section=ncf&id=20368540

4 of the other 5 are the 6 game carry over suspensions from last year's playoffs.
http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i ... m=&src=FCS

Bottom line is JMU will be missing 2 starters for the opener, both significant: pre season All American TE and their leading returning WR, 2nd team All CAA last year. If 5dimes brings the JMU/ECU line back I think it would swing back towards ECU..

Bump. Where we at? I know Tennessee State beat Georgia State last night and they were a 21 point underdog on the list.

The line for JMU at East Carolina at the ESPN college football scores site right now is JMU by 1.5.

I'll go ahead and say that if I were betting I'd take East Carolina. I always pull for the I-AA/FCS win but I have been disappointed so many times when FCS teams played East Carolina with me thinking the I-AA/FCS team had a chance to win.

Got it up on ESPN3 on my computer. Michigan vs. Florida on TV. I love college football season.

Well, both of the Southland teams I thought would beat their spreads as indicated at the top of this thread did. Southeastern Louisiana lost by 3 to Louisiana Lafayette and Northwestern State lost by 24 to Louisiana Tech.

Southeastern Louisiana rushed for 343 yards against Louisiana Lafayette. They scored with 42 seconds left to bring the score to 49-48. Instead of playing for overtime they went for the win but fumbled on the 2 point conversion attempt and it was returned 98 yards for a touchdown to make the final score 51-48.

Northwestern State was tied 24-24 with Louisiana Tech in the third quarter and the score was 31-24 Louisiana Tech at the start of the fourth. But Louisiana Tech outscored the Demons 21-0 in the fourth to win comfortably.

Oh...and of course the BIG one is Howard winning at a 37.5 underdog according to the line at the top of this thread and reportedly as a 45 point underdog as of last night against UNLV. Headlines saying it's the biggest upset in history in terms of how big the line was.
