So still butt-hurt that MSU won a national title before the Griz?
And that we have three and they only have two.
Montana State led. The crowd came unhinged. And when Rhode Island fumbled the ensuing kickoff and the Cats scored three plays later, MSU was on its way to the national championship game. The Bobcats decisively defeated Louisiana Tech in the title tilt, and the school had its
second crown in eight years, and third overall .

I know both programs have struggled to maintain dominance in their conferences in recent years but over the long term Montana is the "bell cow" program of the Big Sky and McNeese State is the "bell cow" program of the Southland. And I think the all time series record is tied at 3-3. Shame to see a home and home between the two programs cancelled. And of course as a McNeese alum I know it'd have been a good thing for the school.
Griz fans response to the bold section is going to be great...
I know my initial reaction was to say something, and then I lightened up.

I'd say we're more butthurt that we've actually lost two games in a row to NAU. What a disgrace!

Well shit, even the Generals squeak one out against the Globetrotters occasionally.

From a team that didn't make the playoffs.
They'll be competitive, but so will EWU, Montana, MSU, Poly, etc.

6-4 vs D1 teams.
No wins over playoffs teams
I'm not going to look while on my phone, but did they have more than 2 wins vs teams over .500?

If they can replace a solid chunk of Arias's productivity, they'll contend for the conference title.
Who's the new starter? How does he look?

It is still undecided, they have a redshirt freshman and a couple of juco transfers. The Qb position is the one huge question they have, rest of team is solid.
